"Roses are red, Violets are placid, you screwed me over, here have a face full of acid!"Tired of always being pushed around and ridiculed by everyone from his co-workers to the local bullies and even his mum, the sad loner Harold Kunkle (Toby Radloff) finally erupts into an murderous rampage when a practitcal joke goes a little too far, that and the fact that the woman of his dreams is having an affair with his sleazy boss.Another "classic" distributed by Troma and one which actually would get a sequel as well, not long after the first one. Yeah, it is surely not a "great" movie, not even a good one but as with some of the low budget Troma titles of the late 80s and early 90s, it do come along with a certain charm and one which has also a nice package of pure cheese, memorable one-liners, not that horrible special effects and most important it have Toby Radloff in the leading role. I guess this one is either a hate it or "love" it kind of a movie, but I enjoyed it more than I loved it and while the sequel was pure trash, the first one is probably one of the "better" entertaining low budget releases which Troma either bought or produced back in the day. My favorite parts is when poor Harold is trying to get some "expert" help from a late night cable TV host named Slick Dick, who sells rental video tapes guiding lonely losers into how to become a real "man" and winning the hearts of young and sexy women all over the world by buying into his sleazy "make-over" deals of the day. Harold then, after freshing up with a new haircut and some updated clothes, heads downtown and tries to score with some local babes, only to be at the end of the joke when it turns out they hang out with his fierce and violent bullies. This would later on end up in a memorable showdown at some old factory, where Harold completely snaps when they kidnap his beloved female co-worker.
