A movie should take as long as it needs to tell its story and then stop. Meanwhile, back in the real world....

Anything longer than 90 minutes, and I get fidgety. I have actually sat through a few 2hr - 2hr10 movies recently, but many are the films I've returned to Netflix unwatched because I didn't notice the running time when adding them to the queue.

To be fair, I've seen a couple of 3 hour movies that didn't seem 3 hours. Titanic was one. Watchmen as well, I think.

1 new directors equate running time with quality. They're dumb. 2 A 100 minute movie now runs 40 minutes longer because of the over use of CGI. 3 Super hero movies and such are the new "epics" I don't know if this is even relevant but I just want to point out that the prequels had much use of CGI and they came out at reasonable running times. I guess Lucas would be the exception to the rule?
Perhaps?
