That picture looks great. I have all those ingredients at home, too, so I may have to make it.

what's everyone cooking up? Looks great. Though if you remove the white colour cream then it might look a bit like German flag.

I haven't noticed it. Did you ask why? ****************** As for the 4th, we have a neighborhood tradition of a cookout in a backyard that's well suited to it. We each put $$ into a "kitty," for hamburger, hot-dogs, buns, beer and wine. Most beer and/or wine drinkers, bring extra. The host provides tubs of ice, along with water and soft drinks. He, and one other, are the Chief Cooks. Everything else (food/utensils, miscellaneous), is assigned. I'm Deviled Eggs. The overall menu is standard 4th-of-July/summer picnic fare. Happy 4th, everyone.

We host an annual 7/4 pool party at the klawrencio house.
On the grill, we're doing:
Brisket Burgers Salmon burgers (for me) Chicken (marinated in BBQ sauce, for the kids) Hot sausages (also for me, my vice) Pineapple Corn Breaded onion (delish and easy, it turns into onion chips)
Sides:
My wife makes this incredible ramen and broccoli slaw salad that is awesome; Watermelon, feta and fresh mint salad, incredibly refreshing on a hot day; and Cucumber and mint water for the pitcher.
And of course, Montauk Brewery beer.
Our guests will chip and bring various other things, almost none of which I'll eat - deli potato salad, vomit-inducing cole slaw and pre-cut fruit. Wretchedness!

Been hot and humid as hell lately so the watermelon, feta and mint salad just seems like a more palatable side. The ramen salad is also cold, goes well with the grilled stuff.
