Possibly. Probably a lot of dudebros who got hard at the trailer in front of The Dark Knight.

I enjoy the movie but I wouldn’t call myself a fanboy. I like the comic as well.

It's a good film, and the comic book is a classic. Of course! There were plenty of "fanboys" out in full force when that Lindelof series was announced for example.

I'm a huge fanboy of the comic. Read it probably 5 times, not even counting the couple times I've watched the motion comic. Not a fanboy of the movie, but I've seen them. Often they've either never read the comic, or have but don't really get it and just revel in its dark tone and violence.

I'm a huge fanboy of the comic. Thank you...thank you for calling it a comic. The only time a get fanboyish and riled by it is when people insist its a Graphic Novel

What, what's the big deal? It's the anal fanboy in me that's bothered. It was published as and intended to be read as 12 individual issues. A graphic novel was not the intention. If it was, the genius of Issue 5 for example wouldn't work as well. ( also Dave Gibbons worked with a friend of mine and he said it wasn't written as one) Also the marketing aspect annoys me a little. The single volume is a Trade Paperback (collection of issues) not a Graphic novel (a single story intended to be published in book form). Book shops and marketers started to adopt "Graphic Novel" as a sweeping description so they could entice Joe Public to read comics. It rankles me a bit when they have on Walking Dead for instance..."based on the graphic novels by...". There are no graphic novels (well they are now I guess seeing the term has been adopted)...but they don't say "based on the comics by..." because there is still a stigma for some people about reading comics, and also why advertise comics in a secondary market that they make no money from, when they can profit from the collections. Oh and I spent nearly 2 years waiting for those 12 issues to come out...does no one appreciate the painful anticipation I had to to through As I said...pedantic anal fanboy rage.

Oh, I thought Moore intended it as a graphic novel. My bad.
