Pick up to 5, you know the drill.. no necessarily the worst 5 films but the biggest discrepancy in quality from the original and the prequel.

I am not taking part in a worst prequel poll that doesn't include The Thing (2011).

It didn't qualify cos its not that bad You are right...it's worse. The more I think about it the more I hate it. It is a disgrace to the John Carpenter movie. I'm not taking part in a poll that doesn't list it. You act as if creating a poll is to gather other people's opinions and not just to enforce your own. That's why He doesn't put an "Other" option in any of His polls. On the first day, Beadle said the 2011 Thing isn't that bad, but Fire Walk With Me is. On the second day, Beadle said the first AvP and Hobbit qualify, but not their worse sequels. On the third day, Beadle said The Phantom Menace sucks, but Attack of the Clones is fine. On the fourth day, Beadle said X-Men Origins is one of the worst prequels yet one of the best superhero movies, over Spider-Man 2. Etc. To have a different opinion is to blaspheme. Beadle works in mysterious ways, but it is as He wills it.

I am not a fan of it but when going through prequels that one didnt jump out as poll worthy

I may be the only person with that opinion, but it is my opinion nonetheless.

You mean Red Dragon that is in 2nd place I think it has a fairly contentious audience, it is commonly praised and hated Red Dragon is ONLY in second place because it has been seen by more people than most of the other movies on your list. If Manhunter didn't exist I don't believe it would be picked at all. Or MAYBE my love of the movie is causing me to be bias. So maybe I am being a bit of a hypocrite towards you. BUT, Red Dragon has a decent RT score (60% fresh/6.4/10 average) and a good imdb rating (7.2/10). The Thing has a 6.2/10 on imdb and a 35% on RT. I think those are generally the places to go to get the best idea of popular opinion. Prometheus and Temple of Doom are much more divisive. Besides you, I have never seen any flat out hatred for Red Dragon like I have with the former. You would list LOTR trilogy in a poll of the worst fantasy films and you know very well that you would only be listing them because of your hatred of them. The vast majority of people consider them great films, whether you think they are "wrong" or not is beside the point. That is the problem I have with your polls and why I dislike taking part in them. You give off a vibe like YOUR opinion is the end all of opinions even when your opinions are extremely unpopular.

I dont think so anymoreI have seen no evidence of this anywhere. Sure there are some people who dislike/hate them but that goes for most movies made after the 1970s.
