From your list I picked The Pink Panther, Duck Soup, and Arsenic and Old Lace.
To be honest, though, it's difficult to any poll of "funniest" or "best" without leaving out some great movies, so I'll offer my choices for "funniest comedies" as Duck Soup, Bringing up Baby, Some Like It Hot, and Young Frankenstein. (There're probably others, but I can't think of them at the moment.)
Comedy is so subjective that I wouldn't be surprised if someone decides to track me down and roast me alive for this comment, but... I find Airplane! one of the least funny and most overrated pictures ever made, and I find Blazing Saddles and Monty Python and the Holy Grail, while far funnier than Airplane!, to be overrated as well. (I love Mel Brooks and Monty Python, but I'm not so crazy about these particular movies.)
Yeah, yeah, I know, them's fightin' words!
EDIT: I should probably put something from Laurel and Hardy on there too, because I just can't bear leaving "the Boys" out. (They're my favorite comedy duo.) In terms of best film? Hard to say. Way Out West, for balancing cinematic and comedic elements the best? But for sheer laugh content--probably Blockheads. May not make any sense, but it's doggone hilarious.

Airplane on the list
Not on the list - Dumb & Dumber. I have never laughed so hard in a movie theater and never have been in a theater that wherever laughed so hard.
Also, Naked Gun is missing isn't it?
Also Part II, Guess Who's Coming To Dinner is barely a comedy.

Excellent list, but you forgot "Some Like it Hot."

Airplane, Grail, and Ghostbusters lead the parade here.
Quite different than the science fiction poll, which is being led by mainstream Hollywood formula movies pushed by critics, actors, and insiders. Here, we're getting what I would call three "cult" films on top.
So many comedies, I couldn't include them all, as there is a limit on the number one can use. I've never understood the fascination with "Some Like It Hot", but I meant to include it. I just filled up with others, trying to get a decent cross section of old and modern.
But SURELY you don't mean AIRPLANE will win? (Is no one going to give the punch line?)

Airplane has a huge lead diving into the runway.
Expendables II was definitely a comedy. Not saying it was good, but it was obviously a comedy. It was included as part of a cross section of movies I wouldn't agree with, but the movies do have followings. I think AIRPLANE and the others here are more generally accepted comedy than those that have narrow followings. True, some are "cult" comedies, but the cross section is intended to include modern (post 1965) and classic (pre 1965), as well as mainstream, dark, family, cult, and "dry" (I hate dry comedy, but I included them).

Oh, Lord, probably why I had trouble finding movies I liked on this poll. Nearly all of my humor is dry.

I voted for Duck Soup, Dr. Strangelove, and Blazing Saddles. Honorable Mention: Young Frankenstein which wasn't listed. Young Frankenstein would be my choice. I suppose if someone's not at least somewhat familiar with the Universal horrors some of the jokes would go over their head, but the timing and performances were near perfect.

I included the major Mel Brooks comedies, his two "big ones". A third would be too much. Sure, there are many Marx Brothers on the list, but the Marx Brothers were unbeatable, you have to admit (if you don't admit it, then you don't have to admit it).
Young Frankenstein didn't come across as very funny. It tried, but failed. I would have included it as a second Mel Brooks film if his other two "big ones" weren't so far above it. They were natural comedy, not forced the way Young Frankenstein was.

winner is AIRPLANE! Surely, you jest. I said "surely".
Second place to MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL.
I can live with both picks. Worthy picks from you wipers of other people's bottoms.
