Would have voted for the 80s, but you put the 60s and the 70s (2 amazing decades) together, so I voted for that.

Really depends on the genre, if you mean mainstream stuff i couldn't tell ya. If you mean industrial music it would have to be the late 80's/ early 90's. Trust me, Industrial music was over by 1980. What you call Industrial, isn't.

I pick the current decade because of it being when all music from my late beautiful precious Billy Joe Royal is available.
God bless you and his family always!!!

80s easily IMO. The 90s had some good music but it was too much Mariah Carey & Celine Dion (no offense if anyone likes those singers). There was also a lot of cheesy boybands. I will admit I listen to some 90s teen pop but it's more for nostalgia. As I have gotten older I realized that 90s teen pop is cheesy & generic pop music. 80s music IMO easily destroys 90s music. 60s & 70s is good music too just not my cup of tea.

I listen to it because it was apart of my childhood (I'm 23). 80s had way better bands. You would probably laugh at me but my favorite band is Culture Club.

Meaningless question. There's the same percentage of talent in every generation/decade. Grow up.

You would probably laugh at me but my favorite band is Culture Club. [/quote] nope. not laughing. That's an actual band playing actual instuments. I'm 34 90s started part of the downfall for music because technology started taking over and the overall production of music just got lazier. and we started seeing like 3-7 writers one One song. I mean co-writing on a song is nothing new because Diana Ross & the Supreme's song "love child" from 1968 has 4 writers on it but it wasn't as lazy back then. Ugh, especially 90s "R&B". 90s R&B is not real R&B music. it's hip-hop to me. It catered to rap too much. You name it, almost every R&B artist in the 90s - their music catered to rap. Mary J Blige, Aaliyah, TLC, En Vogue, Usher, brandy, Monica, Faith Evans, Xscape, boyz ii men, SWV, ETC. too much R&B of the 90s had 3 things A. collaborations with Rappers B. samples of oldies C. Producers talking on the song Even Patti Labelle had a song with rapper Big Daddy Kane in 1991. Like this song by Total "can't you see" Notorious BIG raps on it, it's sampling "payback" by James Brown, and Producer Sean "puffy" combs talks on it! but the industry labels it R&B. It's Hip-hop! The music isn't bad but it's not R&B, it's hip-hop. real R&B has actual soul, not samples of it! Even Rappers and sampling croseed over into pop in the 90s because Mariah Carey, Michael And Janet Jackson had songs with samples and rappers and Jessica Simpson had a hit with a John Mellancamp sample when she first came out. people keep saying the 90s was the best decade for everything. disagree lol

She doesn't have a great voice but I think she had great songs to back it up. I certainly prefer her over the 90s garbage. nope. not laughing. That's an actual band playing actual instuments. I'm guessing you don't like Britney Spears. lol nope Here is a clip of Britney Spears singing when she was younger. Some people in the comments said she was amazing but IMO she was nothing special even back then. She was certainly no Kelly Clarkson or Adele. Young Britney Spears singing

Because of another male singer that I've been listening to lately, I'm going to center in on the late 80s and early 90s because that is when his time in the nationwide spot light took place. In my opinion, it was him who took the Oak Ridge Boys to the next level. God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. .......Great, another beautiful precious who isn't here anymore. I wonder who else it is that I have missed out on!!! (burying my head)

I like the 80's but I dig a lot of 70's rock and also metal from the 90's and 2,000's so it depends on the genre for me. But overall I'd pick the 80's
