I always enjoyed seeing him on Movie Talk. And I dug The Death of “Superman Lives:” What Happened. Hopefully, he pulls through. I don't pay much attention to so called geek culture critics. Grace Randolph, John Campea, Jeremy Jahns and the like are all deeply entrenched in the system they claim to critique from a professional distance. Jon is the only one who stands out to me as forthright and passionate about the culture - even if I tend to disagree with him more than half of the time. |

Oh man, Just saw the bad news on twitter. So shocking that he can just pass away like that. I used to watch collider heros mainly because of him and he brought so much enthusiasm and energy to the show, given his background as a hardcore comics fan. So sad that he wont be alive to watch films like Venom and Aquaman, he was talking alot about those recently. Just goes to show how one day you can have all the time in the world and look forward to movies 4-5 months down the line as if its a guarantee youl be there on opening night, only for you to suddenly fall sick and never live to see tomorrow.
