He will play Jack Thornton.
The version with the late great Charlton Heston was his LEAST favorite role. He ends up trapped under the ice.

He will play Jack Thornton.
Harrison seems a bit old for the role.

Gosh, I remember the Heston version and a TV version (anyone remember the PAX network?)with a kid being the guardian of the dog/wolf and living with mom & step-father in Alaska around the turn of the century. For such a low-budget wanna-be western, it was actually pretty good. Be interesting to see where they go with this version.

I watched it twice in my lifetime-- all I remember is him dying in the ice. Maybe he hated that it was so forgettable, if not for his death scene? I'll stick with the 90s era, low-budget TV show version. It was short-lived and sappy, but it was still fairly good.

I wonder what was the last Jack London adaptation that was not low budget and/or a TV production? I can't think of anything after Disney's 90s White Fang.
Looking forward to this. Someone should do a big budget modern version of The Sea Wolf too.
