I always think of him as Alan Brady with his collection of toupee's and Laura Petrie tricked into spilling the beans about them on a tv show.
Funny Man with many candles on his birthday cake.

Greatest straight man was unquestionably Bud Abbott.

Greatest straight man was unquestionably Bud Abbott. My vote would go to George Burns (if we were voting) !

Something I've read in American Film, (I Think), Rainer wrote a scene for The Dick van Dyke Show, that Dick van Dyke would be tied and walk funny, and Dick wasn't amused at all (furious) yet pulled it off. van Dyke and Reiner knew each others but that was a bit too far.
My favorite movie with Carl is though The Russians Are Coming the Russians Are Coming, especially the scene when he is tied up with old british Music Hall star Tessie O'Shea.
He was also great in the remake of the first Ocean's movie, as the old scoundrel.

On this day, March 20, 2017. Thanks for all the laughs you've provided through your many long years of working strong to this day. Carl Reiner must be thrilled that America's white trash president, Donald Trump, took a beating today spidey. Happy birthday Carl. Goodbye Donald - hope you burn in hell for all eternity when your time comes.
