My post is more about how you always base your opinion on who is accused My posts aren't based on who is accused. It's based on motive. Like I wrote in the other thread on the Kavanugh case, "Maybe Kavanaugh raped her, maybe he didn't. But if he did, then she should've made the charges decades ago. Even in real rape cases, there's a statue of limitations. So a woman can't just claim she was raped 35 years ago and expect the DA to file rape charges against the man she claims raped her 35 years ago." Waiting 35 years to cry rape and only coming forward when Kavanaugh was being considered for a job on the Supreme Court smells like dirty politics, a political ploy to try to derail a Supreme Court nominee. By contrast, in Stan Lee's case, the accusers didn't wait 35 years to come forward. They came forward in a timely manner and there was no political motive. Some might say the fact someone gave their evidence under oath You MCU fans are probably too young and naive to know this, but people lie all the time even under oath. I've served as a juror on a couple of trials and witnesses lied under oath. 1 of the trials I was a juror on, the defendant took the stand and lied. As a jury, we thought she was likely guilty but there was enough reasonable doubt so we came back with a not guilty verdict. After the trial, both the ADA and the defense attorney asked if they could speak to jurors outside the courtoom because both the ADA and defense attorney were young attorneys starting out their careers and they wanted to the jurors' opinion on what they did well and what they didn't do well. We found out that there was additional evidence that the defense attorney was able to get excluded in a pre-trial motion and found out that the defendant was indeed guilty and lied during her testimony. So we acquitted because we took the defendant's testimony as the truth, but the defendant lied during her testimony. Witnesses lie all the time, even under oath. Just look at Tom Brady. He went through the whole show of saying he would testify under oath at his Arbitration hearing on DeflateGate, then when he testified, he lied over and over again. For example, he claimed that he destroyed the cell phone he used during DeflateGate because he always destroyed his old cell phones that were no longer in use. Yet, he kept the cell phone that he had prior to his DeflateGate cell phone. had a lie detector test that backed her story up Lie detector tests aen't admissable in court because they're not 100% reliable. People have been known to fool lie detector tests. Making a racist, homophobic, mysoginist etc jokes pretty much exposes you as having racist, homophobic or mysoginist views. Same with making hundreds of peodphile tweets. That pretty much exposes you as a pedophile. And let's not forget, it wasn't just 1 or 2 isolated pedophile jokes. It was hundreds of pdeophile tweets. |

Gunn made hundreds of pedophile tweets so there's no doubt that Gunn is a pedophile. Stan Lee's accusers didn't wait 35 years to bring up the offenses that Stan Lee committed. Kavanaugh's accuser waited 35 years to being up the accusations. She waited until he was nominated for a job on the Supreme Court. That smells like dirty politics. And the fact that there are Democrats who are talking about impeaching Kavanaugh when he just got confirmed for the job and hasn't even heard a case as a Supreme Court Justice yet pretty much confirms that these accusations were just a dirty political ploy by the Democrats to derail a Supreme Court nominee. Now I get that the Democrats want to derail Kavanaugh in retaliation for the Republicans not allowing hearings on Obama's nominee (and as an Independent, I disagree with the Republicans' ploy in that case too), but the tactics used against Obama's nominee had nothing to do with Trump or Kavanaugh so the Democrats can't take that out on Trump or Kavanaugh. Otherwise, should we hold southern Democrats today responsible for slavery and the Civil War? Bottom line: There's hundreds of pedophile tweets from Gunn corroborating that he's a pedophile and Stan Lee's accusers came forward in a timely manner, but Kavanaugh's accuser waited 35 years and came forward only when he was nominated for a job on the Supreme Court. Most people (who aren't Democrats or liberals desperate to try to derail Kavanaugh) would agree that waiting 35 years to cry rape in order to destroy a possibly innocent person's career and reputation isn't right or just. Some might say the fact someone gave their evidence under oath, had a lie detector test that backed her story up and revealed the events many years earlier to others is enough to cast doubt on whether someone committed sexual assault or not...more so than perhaps someone posting some ill judged jokes making the a pedophile. I'm sure if it was someone connected to Marvel rather than Kavanaugh in that situation you would instantly damn them...in fact I am 100% certain you would. And if timescales are so important in judging whether a complaint is relevant or not....go tell that to all the children that were abused by Catholic priests that never saw justice (if any) until decades later. Ironic considering who re-opened this whole Gunn furore and why Not comparable. And the fact that Democrats are already talking, even though Kavanaugh's nomination has just been confirmed and Kavanaugh hasn't even heard a case on the Supreme Court yet, about re-gaining control of the Senate so they can impeach Kavanaugh doesn't help her case. It suggests that they don't care if Kavanaugh is guilty or innocent, they just care about doing anything they can to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court. If they're already talking about impeaching Kavanaugh, what "high crimes and other misdemeanors" has Kavanaugh committed between the time that his nomination was confirmed 2 days ago and now that warrants Kavanaugh being impeached? |

Being pedophilic is NOT a crime. But depending on the jurisdiction acting on pedophilia can be a crime, eg instigation, possession of pedo content or sexual acts with children.
That is your fundamental misconception.

a- You NEVER have to prove that someone is a pedophile, racist, sexist etc. That's not provable itself. But you can demonstrate evidence of pedophilic acts or comments.
b- There is strong evidence of Gunn's sexually attracted to children, namely:
- Countless tweets and blogs where Gunn obsessively talks about him abusing children or enjoying their sexual abuse or pedophile acts with babies (eg him blogging that a disturbed, cum-stained child makes him "EXTREMELY HAPPY"); - Endorsements and contacts with convicted pedophiles - Endorsements of pedo groups - Photos showing him on pedo themed parties dressed up as priest - Videos where he talks about ananly raping his daughter before she gets married.
Thus if you claimed he is a pedo, and Gunn sued you for defamation you would win the case based on evidence and reasonable assumption alone (as long as you do not claim rapes etc without evidence). There is nothing more pedo than saying "Kid snatched by eagle is what I call it when I get lucky" during your tenure with a family company like Disney. Same as calling someone who makes countless racist jokes and racist-themesd pics a racist.

Disney/Marvel's reaction seems to have been swift and adequate. Only question why this guy, who was an emotional red flag from the beginning, was allowed to do this unchecked and unchallenged by media, audience and his associates.
