That's not how burden of proof works. That's not how terminations work. That's what got Gunn fired. There are millions terminated without cause. These are deserving of your sympathy. There are millions terminated without cause, but usually the company pays them a severance/compensation package. I wonder if Disney paid Gunn. Depends on the contract and applicable law. If you are fired (dismissed for good cause), you usually get nada unless top executive with special terms and even some IP/copyright ownership (continued royalties).
One can count on Gunn getting paid royally for his script. Which is fair because he performed contractuall work.
I also read that there was a contractual severance package (mutual termination agreement) ranging between USD 7-10 M. But this is not offical, and might include the payment for the script and development work done.

Prove the quotes aren't out of context. Prove he was for what you state he was. You're making the claim, so you have to back it up. Prove that these are more than just bad jokes. - we have countless blog stories, comments and jokes about how "extremely happy" child abuse makes him and about him endorsing pedo groups and convicted pedos.
- Plus there are photos of him attending pedo-themed parties, and pedo themed blogs. Plus we have a vid where he jokes about anally raping his daughter.
- Plus, he hastily tried to delete all further evidence. And he officially admitted the wrongdoing without down playing it as jokes or art or denying the authenicity (written by his lawyers as too clever for the hack).
A nice round picture. Reasonable conclusion:
If you make racist comments, vids, jokes and blogs: I can think you a racist. If you make sexist comments, vids, jokes and blogs: I can think you a sexist.
If you make pro child abuse comments, vids, jokes and blogs: I can think you a pedo.
Common sense. Case closed.
But all this is not the point with the termination, Gunn was not terminted for being a pedo, but for making his child abuse comments and materials. If you want to work for the mouse, be sure not to play the cat. That's your right. You have words, and speculation, and things he's done all taken out of context. You need to provide a smoking gun if you're going to make blanket claims about a person. You need PROOF, otherwise, as you've written, all you can say is "I think" someone is one way or another. The specific claims that he supports something are conclusions without proof and made ignoring historical context. This is absolutely different from me disliking the injection of SJW politics in a fantasy sci fi film series as well as the utter disrespect the people you listed have for the source material. I don't support a mob of hateful people, I support the dissection of their(KK,JJ,RJ) awful efforts in an attempt to show those that praise it a more objective perspective. I'm not on board with the James Gunn hate, but I feel like this isn't such a huge loss. Guardians of the Galaxy is great, but the second movie, in my opinion, was disappointing compared to the first. I'd be interested to see someone else take over the franchise.
