How was Green Day important ? Opening the door for craptastic pop punk bands who followed in their wake ? Taking the descendents template and making lots of cash with it ?
To varying degrees, arguments can be made for the importance of rest of the list....

Static Age is a way better album than Walk Among Us.

Decent list, though I'd replace the Green Day album with X's Wild Gift.

I probably would have kicked out Green Day since even if they were influential, they were always a joke in the punk scene. Only reason they made an impact is because they were the closest thing to punk you could find on the pop stations. Replace it with NOFX's Punk in Drublic or Rancid's self-titled (the one from 1993).

London Calling there instead of The Clash debut? WTF! Truly great album without doubt, but more important than the album that was one of the key instigators in the PUNK movement origins?
If Green Day are on any list of this type, itself a pretty poor submission (important? really?), then surely Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material has to be there.
And on a list with heavy American bias, no Rancid -...And Out Come the Wolves? Seriously?
I'll stop now, getting vexed I'm glad I have nothing to do with WatchMoJo.

Any list of best punk albums that doesn't include Half Japanese's monolithic debut of primal atonal geek noise isn't worth....oh it's WatchMojo
