Didn't that cause some people to have seizures or something?

One movie trailer I can recall watching repeatedly after it was released was this one for The Dark Knight (2008).

One movie trailer I can recall watching repeatedly after it was released was this one for The Dark Knight (2008). This is in my top 10. I went to see I Am Legend at the cinema just for this trailer and I left I Am Legend half way through because I hated it so much. Because of that Dark Knight trailer I didn't feel I wasted my money.

I'm not really one for cataloguing trailers, but this recent one managed to shut up an entire rowdy opening night theatre for The Avengers downtown Toronto screening...

Of course with hindsight as guide, this LOTR:FOTR teaser put the hammer down at the 1:06 mark declaring 3 Christmases of LOTR releases, before anyone barely even hyped wtf was coming. So early, it wasn't even the same font they eventually decided on.

The foreboding notes, the plane sequence, Bane's unmasking. Less is more for me. Like I said, I first saw it before giddy Avengers. We had the aforementioned Prometheus trailer at that same screening, so it was a pretty f'n memorable time.

Here is a Top 5 list of some of my favorites. If I had to pick my favorite of the bunch, it'd probably be the Godzilla (2014) one below.
And here are four other honorable mentions...

One that comes to mind for me (I remember re-watching this trailer a fair amount back when it was new as trailers generally don't interest me enough to do that but this is one that does)... p.s. the song playing is Where No One Stands Alone by The Peasall Sisters. I generally don't like country type of music but that's a exception for me. in fact, here is the full song in Opus format @ 64kbps (76kbps actual average bit rate)... www.datafilehost.com/d/3ca6cb93 ; Foobar2000 will play that (which is what I recommend for general audio playback on a Windows PC) or if you don't have that you can drag-and-drop it into your browser window and that should play it after downloading.
NOTE: True Grit (2010) is within my Top 56 movies (i.e. 8/10) as it's much better than the 1969 movie which I think is below average(i.e. 4/10).
