apologized for "deeply inappropriate drunken behavior." in the Anthony Rapp alleged incident. That's not an admission. An admission is absolute, 100% confirmation that yes, absolutely, something did indeed happen. What Spacey said wasn't an "admission". It was a half-assed, "oh, maybe I did, maybe I didn't, IF I did, I'm sorry and by the way, I'm gay, like y'all didn't know that already." Let's not call that an "admission". He did not 100% confirm that he assaulted Rapp so therefore he admitted to nothing. Do I believe he assaulted Rapp? Of course I do. Ya'd have to be an idiot not to. But an admission is a concrete, direct statement of fact. That half-assed, panicky bullshit was no admission. I'll agree admission was to strong a word. It was a weasel way of admitting something happened without accept culpability. I guess it's the closest I would expect someone in his situation would go. And I was surprised he admitted that much is why i put into the admission category.

What if it turns out he DID attend NAMBLA meetings? What if it turns out he is/was a child molester?
As of right now (7/23/18) I believe him when he says he didn't "live those actions" or however he phrased it. I believe he thought he was being provocatively funny. Though I don't defend his horrible humor, it's still just jokes.
But as much as I am defending him now, if it turns out he IS guilty of such disgusting things, then I will do a serious about face and condemn him as strongly as I possibly can.
Thoughts? Alex Jones crowd promoting pizzagate who has a history of accusing people he disagrees with politically of being pedophiles Rapist. Is he going after South Park? I have never found South Park funny, but I dont suggest the creators are into pedophilia because they make an episode about boys sexually molesting one another. Isnt that what Gunn did? Joke about the subject? I would thing actual pedophilias would not be so open as to make jokes on Twitter

1. South Park/the writers do not make jokes and comments about how great it is for THEM as grown adults to rape children or how much they enjoy children being sexually assaulted by animals - unlike Gunn.
If you actually watch the show/episode the entire point is social commentary about leaked sexual content and how to deal with it - and to make fun of stupid Cartman the depraved, psychopathic villain of the show who tries to make sleeping Butter look gay. After Cartman realized that his "hilarious" defamation photos abase him more than Butters he does anything depraved and stupid to prevent his sick photos becoming public, and later to spin the story in his favor. Coming to think about it, Cartman is the prototype MCU fan.
2. Do you people really think that pointing fingers at others (tu quoque) will make Gunns sick transgressions any better? In fact you try to lower the civilization-bar by saying, child rape comments are pretty common and not that awful, is that what you are saying?

I'm saying a certain segment of the population can tell the difference between an actual crime & joking about a crime. I find South Park crude & as funny as a root canal. I understand others enjoy it's crude humor but I see no difference between Gunn's jokes & South Park's Its the same reason I stay away from the American Adult Swim content. Anime-fine. Tim & Eric-annoyingly stupid

Tristan is right though. You really can't compare South Park, which has a message (usually) behind it's humor.
James Gunn tweets came off as someone who has some kind of a mental health problem.

Thoughts? The fact that there is always the possibility if it being true is why I believe that petitions such as the ones in the link will not change anything. Disney is about trying to present a clean, family welcoming image and having somebody who has made such comments publicly is not welcomed - it doesn't matter if he was 100% joking, it doesn't matter how much he has changed since then, Disney doesn't want that on their shoulders and had him be fired. They wouldn't want to risk re-hiring him for Marvel Studios.

And he's a liar. They covered him on Vice. The reporter brought up his tweet 6 days before the election accusing the Clintons of running a pedophilia ring-did he actually believe the Clintons did that? No. They knew Anthony Wiener. He's a pedophile. Guilt by association. He has found an audience he is selling to. Simple as that. In his way, another performer like Alex Jones. Remember Jones claiming during his divorce it was an act?

Remember Jones claiming during his divorce it was an act? But if we can see through his BS then why cant other people? Even the dumbest hick in the world knows BS when its being shoveled at him... right?
I can say this: I don't make up my mind on anything just because it comes from someone who is supposedly "on my side of the fence". For example, I don't automatically believe a Democrat just because I lean liberal. That leads to making poorly examined choices. And I don't dis-like Trump just because he's a Republican. I dis-like him because of who he is as a person. I would disagree with him on politics but I wouldn't dis-like him as a person.
Do that many people in the world (in this country) lived such UN-examined lives that they'll believe any old thing just because it comes from someone that is supposedly "like them"?

It's clearly suspicious that he was so fixated on this one very sick subject. And most of the comments aren't even jokes. Never mind that theyre all twisted and unfunny, some of them just sound like him confessing something.

Most businesses don't react to the behavior or past history of an employee unless it stirs up controversy. Had nobody made a big deal about Roseanne Barr's tweet from late May she'd still have her show, but it stirred up lots of controversy and Disney fired her.

That’s a near impossible scenario. The comment was absurd and not to be taken seriously.
