I have recently argued rigorously with such posters as Cool, Terepin, Toasted and a few others on some subjects yet found myself in accord on a few issues or points of logic or 'morality'. You yourself and I sometimes disagree, yet are often in accord. I try not to hold grudges though there are a few posters who exhibit what is beyond 'acceptable behaviour' in my eyes. You probably disagree with me much less nowadays than you did 3-4 years ago; I was a very different poster back then. I mean I’m exactly the same in terms of how I debate. But many of my views were different. You were an obviously conflicted poster back then, so I really wasn't surprised when the new you turned up. I was joking when I surmised that I helped in the turnaround, butt I wouldn't be surprised if your own efforts and interactions on the old board helped you in the process. |

That's my point. It's the same here. Belief in God denotes a particular type of god believer which leads to a particular type of pointless conversation. NO amount of correction on the presumption changes the conversation at all. It's ridiculous and inevitably boring.The topics in politics board are often based on news of the day which provides a variety of discussions and can also pull out nuance in ideology regardless of prejudice. I'm not saying it's a great board. No board on here is, but it is a better board than the Religion one. Exactly, butt that is just you. The rest of us manage to talk about all kinds of things that can be vaguely political philosophical current and contentious. I am not surprised that you can only see things from your own viewpoint, and it becomes boring, though you have improved your focus IMHO recently. What is just me? |

I actually disagree with your assessment of me being “conflicted”. I was actually quite convinced that was I believed was the most logical thing to believe based on on the facts at one point. The fact that I was never a radical or conservative Christian didn’t mean that I was conflicted about anything. My “epiphany” so to speak came on rather suddenly and unexpectedly from my perspective. |

I hardly post on either anymore. My desire to enter arguments about hot topic issues has dwindled in the past few years. Ill still chime in occasionally but no nearly as much as say...4 years ago.
