Some shows might end a season leaving you eagerly awaiting the next season, while others might end a season in such a way that you swear not to tune into the next one. More often than not, shows seem to end on a ‘cliffhanger’ (some get to continue on, others get cancelled and you never get a satisfying conclusion). What season finals stand out to you as your favourites?
Two of my favourite season finals are...
‘Graduation Day, Part 2’ from Season 3 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
‘Dragonfly in Amber’ from Season 2 of Outlander.

LOST - "We have to go back!"
I liked every LOST finale as it did a good job of completing an arc and starting a completely new one.

When it comes to cliffhangers, 'The Magicians' season one was probably the boldest in recent memory. Certainly the bleakest since season 5 of "Game of Thrones."

Yes, what's YOUR point? It's just calling it what I call it.

Yes, what's YOUR point? It's just calling it what I call it. My point is what the first line of the link I provided said... "A season finale (British English: last in the season; Australian English: season final) is the final episode of a season of a television program." OP could be from Australia Fox in the Snow is indeed correct, therefore the fact that I called it a 'season final' is not wrong, it's just what they are called here. Just as our spelling of certain words - such as 'favourite versus 'favorite' (as seen in the subject line of my post) - is different to other parts of the world. One is not 'correct' and the other 'incorrect', it's just that not everything is called/spelled the same everywhere in the world. That was my point.

The first one that comes to mind is the final episode of Season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This was the one that got me hooked for good on that show (still my favourite TV show after all these years). I had caught a couple of season 4 episodes, liked what I saw, and decided to try to find older episodes to catch up. At the time video rental stores still existed, and the one near me had VHS editions of some of the main episodes from seasons 1 and 2. I rented them all, and by the time I got to the two-part finale of season 2 I was just blown away. I think I watched it three times before returning the tape.
