I had a nice little turntable many years ago. It had a control knob at the back so you could use it on different electrical systems in different countries. So what do I do? I turn it to another country's setting and turn it on, promptly blowing every circuit in the thing.

There was a tour where Nine Inch Nails was supporting /co-headlining with David Bowie. Went to see NIN and left when Bowie came on.

Not discovering my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys before his going forward is my stupidest move.
God bless you and his family always!!!

Spending too much money collecting almost every single of Suzanne Vega in all vinyl and CD formats. I like her, but that got a little cray cray.

Also, collecting some of the earlier singles of R.E.M. and many of their guest appearances on other people's work. Stuff that I have little interest in owning now.

Going on a pub crawl with my mate before a Jesus Lizard show. Get in the place, they're on stage playing a song already. They finish the song, walk off and the lights come up and everyone leaves.

I have a recorded video of me and a couple of friends lipsynching "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. Just think 3 13 year old white boys moving side to side and trying to reenact that.

In 1977 I went with a couple of friends to a ZZ Top concert. In those days the tickets didn't have a perforation on them and often the band name was mostly on one side of the ticket. I save all my concert ticket stubs and I wanted to be sure to get the half which had the band name. So I approached the ticket-taker, held it up in front of him and tore it in half. I guess you weren't supposed to do that. He took the two halves from me and said "That's it. You're not getting in." At this point I had the choice of returning to the parking lot and waiting three hours for my friends or standing there creating a scene. So I stood there arguing and holding up the line until he finally gave in. But the petty asshole gave me the ticket half I didn't want. I still have that stub and it's the only one which doesn't have the band name.

Since everything before was crap, I have to ask; how was ZZ Top?

Since everything before was crap, I have to ask; how was ZZ Top? The music was great, but there wasn't much of a show. They just stood there and played. I didn't mind, but years later I read where people were saying what a great show they put on. I said "huh?" Apparently they had begun using laser lights in their show which made it more interesting. This would be about the time they enjoyed a resurgence on MTV.

Yeah, that's the ZZ Top I grew up listening to. Fancy cars and long legs. I loved it.

So i see no reason why i should not do the same in other peoples posts.
