The best pizza I had was a vegetable pizza from a small family owned artisan pizza place near the Mountain Run shopping center in Albuquerque, NM, I think it was called DaVinci's (not part of the chain), I'm from the Chicago area but this was the best pizza I 've had, the last time I had it was in 2010 before we moved to Alabama. Forget pizza in Alabama, we just buy Monteli's frozen pizza from Italy at Publix but there is a chance that Publix will stop carrying it. There was a small pizza place in Saraland Al. that was family owned by an Italian family but they closed a few years ago. I don't like pizzas from chains, they're usually too greasy and have rubbery cheese.

There's a place here that makes a crab rangoon pizza. I haven't had it yet, but it's on my list.

Nah. I didn't like pizza until I was 15, but we're still talking close to 50 years. Had to be thin, oily, very hot, have a cornmeal crust, great sausage. Maybe at Libonatti's in Bergenfield NJ way back when.

The one that stands out was actually from a chain called Pietro's. I don't know if they still exist -- that was in the 60's, when I was in school in Oregon.
A small group of us ordered a large "veggie," with added pepperoni. It was so good! That chain - or, at least the one near our campus - always had a perfect balance of cheese/sauce. And, the sauce had just the right amount of oregano, for my taste.
Since then, "veggie with pepperoni," has been one of my favorites, and I don't recall having had a bad one. But, that one is memorable.

Best pizza that I too ever had was an all veggie pizza that I had at my friend's house the night before my last exam at Uni. I think he got it from some Italian family owned pizza shop though I don't recall which part of Melbourne that shop is located. I do like to have that again.

...mine was from the long gone Ma & Pa pizzeria called Vito-Angelo's on the north side of Chicago. It was a thin crust sausage, black olive and mushroom deal and was as good as it gets...

I recall it had chillis, chilli infusion, olives, peppers, red meat, pepper, spiky herbs and a dark seasoning. Wow.

...... pizza you ever had ?? If so, care to share (i.e., where, when (approximately), and what, specifically, you had on it...) ?? SAVE FERRISWe were staying in Columbus, Ohio and one night we just decided to have a pizza delivered to our room to have with our beer. We ordered from a place called Donatos Pizza. We had sausage, pepperoni and banana peppers on it. It was outstanding.
