I've been busy and hadn't gotten around to writing my review of Ant-Man and the Wasp until now. Ant-Man and the Wasp had some of the dumbest and worst characters in movies history.
1st, there was the Berkeley professor (Laurence Fishburne's character). He lied to the FBI and set up Hank, Scott, and Hope to be captured by Ghost so Ghost can find Janet and use Janet's powers to heal herself. Then all of a sudden, right in the middle of the movie, the Professor changes his mind for no reason at all. The Profesor claimed that he didnt want Janet to get hurt. If so, then why the hell did the Professor lie to the FBI and set up Hank, Scott, and Hope to be captured by Ghost in the 1st place? What the hell did he think was going to happen when he did that?
The Professor changing his mind for no reason at all was as stupid as the tribal leader in Black Panther who told T'Challa's mother and sister that he wasn't going to help them fight against Killmonger, then 5 minues later he changes his mind offscreen without any explanation at all and shows up for the battle at the end. That was just stupid.
2nd, the villains were stupid. No, not Ghost. Ghost was just trying to do what she needed to do to save her life so she wasn't really a villian. So who were the villains in the movie? Well, the only other villians in the movie was the stupid restaurant owner and his cronies, who were trying to steal the McGuffin lab. So Ant-Man and the Wasp is yet another MCU movie with awful villains.
And half the movie was basically Hank and Janet, Ghost and the restaurant owners all trying to steal the McGuffin lab from each other. That was basically a rip-off of Back to the Future Part 2 with Marty and 1955 Biff trying to steal the almacnac from each other.
3rd, the FBi guys were stupid. In the 1st Ant-Man movie, they used the same joke twice ("Baskin-Robbins always finds out") and it wasn't funny either time. In Ant-Man and the Wasp, they use the same gag twice - FBI guys get a reported sighting of Scott and try to get to where Scott was seen only to find out they were tricked and then race to Scott's house but Scott beats them back home. After they were fooled the 1st time, the FBI guys should've just gone to Scott's house immediately the 2nd time instead of getitng fooled again. That was just stupid and is just another example of how MCU Dictator Kevin Fiege likes to make the military and/or law enforcement look either incompetent or corrupt in MCU movies in order to build up MCU's so-called "heroes".
4th, Michael Pena's character is the most annoying movie character since Jar Jar Binks.
And typical of Disney kiddie movies, the movie ends with a fairy-tale ending for everyone. Janet is found and rescued. Scott is freed from his ankle bracelet even though he violated the rules multple times. Hank and Janet get their dream home. Ghost is cured. The crooked restaurant owner confesses that he's a crook. Michael Pena's company gets hired for a job so they don't have to go bankrupt. . . . The evil stepmother's plan is foiled and the young maiden marries the Prince and eveyone lives happily ever after. Typical Disney kiddie movie.
