I agree. Obnoxious little brat, like 95% of kids in American films and 80% of kids in other nations' films. Only thing worse than kids in films are cute dogs. Even 'Asta?' Especially Asta. I am always hoping her alcoholic owner will feed the mangy mutt rat poison by mistake in his cocktail-induced befuddlement.

Yipes, London! Then I take it that you do not subscribe to Harry Truman's attitude about Washington politics:
"If you want a friend, get a dog."

I like dogs. My parents kept a retired racing greyhound for ten years and then a dachshund for even longer and I was the nominated dog-walker for most of those years.
I just do not like dogs, or children, introduced to make weak movies more palatable with a sentimental sauce.
For one example, when introducing a character, to indicate he is a good person by showing him being kind or friendly to a child or a dog. Such a lame cliche but they keep on doing it.

We are aware you have trouble with people, BAT. Safer for you to stick with dogs.

For one example, when introducing a character, to indicate he is a good person by showing him being kind or friendly to a child or a dog. Such a lame cliche but they keep on doing it. It also works to make the bad guys even badder, viz., the early going of "Open Range" when Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall return from town to find their camp has been raided. One of their hands has been killed and another beaten close to death. The movie audience is completely silent. THEN, they discover that their dog has been killed and everybody goes, "Ooooooooooo." Yeah, those fiends! Killing a dog! Forget the people, they killed a dog! From there on, the audience is on Costner's and Duvall's side.
