I'm interested to know what the current state of the WWE is nowadays. I've grown up watching WCW and WWE religiously uptil about 4-5 years ago. Pretty much since CM Punk left I stopped watching on a weekly basis, and only watch a match/promo or 2 if I happen to scroll across it on tv. I watched a segment the other day between Foley and HHH and I thought - wow, are the WWE still relying on these 2 old timers to draw crowds? I remember my first WWE/F PPV was Royal Rumble 2000 and these 2 had an awesome street fight match. And that was nearly 20 years ago!
Can someone fill me in on how popular the WWE is these days? How good/bad are its ratings? Are they struggling to find breakout talent that can carry the company like the Stone Colds/The Rocks/John Cena/Randy Ortons of yesteryear?

Interesting question. I'd been watching for around a decade by the time you're recalling (around 2000). I don't mind it now, but then again with Goldberg as champion, feuding with Brock Lesnar and Mick Foley kicking around they're pretty much marketing directly at me and people of my vintage. First thing I did when I puchased was watch Goldberg winning the title. Next thing I did was watch Starrcade '83. I liked both shows.
