I was feeling a bit better today so I didn't need to have soup again. I didn’t cook today but my flatmate did. What he cooked? He cooked something what you can call curd cheese or farmer's cheese (in subcontinent it is called paneer) in a cream based gravy and added a paste of cashews and almonds. The end result was pretty good and very much like in the pic below.
What about you folks? What do you plan for dinner today?

WKD will have breaded blue Hake baked in the oven and more peaches (the peach season will soon be over), I'll probably just have a can of soup. Glad you are feeling better Aj_June

Vegetable jalfrezi tonight... But I'm swapping out the rice for some crinkle cut oven Chips, for a change of pace.
Ps... Why is it dinner 'tonight'? Dinnertime is midday to 2pm... The evening meal is 'tea' from 4-7pm, or supper post-7pm.

I'm mowing the yards today, so it will be something quick and easy. I made a pasta salad this morning and I'll fix bacon and tomato sandwiches to go with it.

The technician from GE will be here (with any luck), sometime between 1 PM, and 5 PM. So, I may finally be getting my NEW oven properly calibrated. I don't know when, in that time window, he'll arrive, or how long he will take to get the job done. So, I'm not going to make any ambitious cooking plans.
I'll finish last night's salmon, and add a salad. I love cold salmon, so all will be lovely.

The restaurants I go to have lunch as 12-3 pm and then dinner for anything after 6pm.
I like this chips idea for rice. Might have to try to see how it would go with Jalfarezi.

Might just be a British thing, but people often opt for half rice/half chips when going out for a ruby... Not mesen, I nearly always have rice, but occasionally go with chips for a change.
