Do you eat the crust/cookie under it?

I wasn't familiar with Chocolate Satin, and had to look it up. I found it to be a chocolate cookie/crust "pie," with a layer of chocolate, and whipped cream as a topping.
I can't imagine just eating the top layer of a pie, and leaving the basic ingredients. Is there another version of Chocolate Satin, that doesn't fit the description that I found?

I might be stupid, but I differentiate between what I see as a Oreo-like cookie crust under the chocolate satin, and the bready yellow-ish pie crust that you typically find with a pumpkin pie, for example.

Hmmm. Well, you have the advantage, as I've never had Chocolate Satin ... so, I'm no expert.

Divtal: Marie Callender's has a Choclate Satin Pie. When they used to have a Marie Callender's restaurant in Albuquerque, I used to get a slice of their Chocolate Satin and WKD would get the banana cream pie but I don't buy the frozen pies. I don't know if there are still any Marie Callender restaurants.

I don't know if there are still any Marie Callender restaurants. There was a Marie Callendar's on Sahara Ave in Las Vegas when I used to live there. My wife and I used to stop there late night after work for a bowl of their soup and a slice of pie. It was great! Sadly, it's now gone.
