Alex Cox. I mean Repo Man is an all time great movie and although I think it sucks a lot of people like Sid and Nancy. But after that? I like Straight to Hell as a collection of weird scenes and for Joe Strummer and Sy Richardson but ajust viewed s a film it's awful. After that his films just got worse and worse, the last few I've seen looked like student films. Just garbage. Really I've never seen a guy who knows so much about film and is obviously intelligent just churn out garbage and get worse as his career went on like that. I remember reading where he criticized Emilio Estevez for wasting his talent and thinking "talk about the pot calling the kettle black".

Ridley Scott hasn't lost it IMO. He's still a master filmmaker.

Ridley Scott hasn't lost it IMO. He's still a master filmmaker. Fair enough. I heard Alien: Whatever was pretty bad, though.

I think it's too early to put Affleck here.

Oh, you think his new version of Tree of Life will be interesting?
