He was never great though, it was all hype. I still remember watching Signs.....I still can't believe anyone like that POS. Unbreakable was OK, and the Sixth Sense was OK but I never got the hype. The rest of his movies (that I've seen) range from mediocre to laughably bad.

His gimmick of the "twist" got old and predictable. Did anyone not guess that the village was actually taking place in modern times?
