So clearly despite all the real criticisms from comic fans and film makers about the MCU Movies. the MCU fanatics contunue to try and dismiss us. Well screen rant finally ran a piece that exposed the critics bias though they did it indirectly. The producers of MCU has said IW is just a CGI Bonaza. what screenrant states in the article is how MCU movies are not been criticised for it but other films are. this is a text from the article on quote. screenrant.com/avengers-infinity-war-cgi-visual-effects-shots-producer/''While some recent films, i ncluding The Hobbit trilogy, have been criticized for their use of CGI, Infinity War's use of CGI was not met with the same criticism. Of course, some fans believe that Marvel has a CGI problem, relying too heavily on expensive computer-generated sequences in recent years, but the quality of the film's CGI effects is definitely a step above The Hobbit's animated sequences, primarily because they used as many practical effects as possible (at least as much as a superhero movie on this scale can allow). Whether or not Infinity War uses too much CGI may be up for debate, but with over 2,900 VFX shots, the film is definitely reliant on computers to produce its many worlds and characters''.Pretty cute isn't it? remember xmen apocalypse? justice league or even the Hobbit?....I think the last hobbit film barely scored a fresh on RT if I was dumb enough to use that site. All movies strongly criticised and marked down for too much cgi or just bad cgi or cgi over story but somehow movies like Infinity war and black panther with poor cgi and just no story but CGI, Critics are not criticising? MCU fans, what is your comeback to this now? As I have said , MCU has 20 movies, if they were judged on the same standards X-Men, lord of the rings or DC only about 5 movies will actually rated 60-80% fresh on RT. is only a matter of time, before MCU is exposed. the media and critics can't protect them for long.

Another mis-represented and mis-leading post This isn't a comment or feature about critical bias AT ALL See you conveniently didn't highlight the red text above Are you sure you have provided the correct link Doesn't say that It doesn't though does it. And what link is provided by Screenrant that backs this up? A link to Screenrant's list of 15 Movies Ruined By Cringeworthy CGI And they are mentioned where? Or are you just trying to find any reason you can why a film from your beloved X-Verse was not received so well? Really, are they? You have read the majority of reviews for all these film franchises have you? What the link is actually about is how people may be surprised how much CGI was actually used. Surprising perhaps because it's not all evasive and obvious. And if it's not evasive and obvious, how can it be criticised if people are not aware it is there. It would have been far more accurate if you actually titled your thread/intention "OH BOO-HOO THE FRANCHISE I DON'T LIKE IS MORE POPULAR THAN THE ONE I DO"

You used the same article twice in two threads and you didn't prove anything. All you did was purposely twisted the words of the article to suit your anti MCU agenda...again.

Pish, nonsense. The MCU just recently got criticized for their CGI (Black Panther). The reason IW did not get the same CGI criticism is because their CGI was actually good, better than CGI in movies like The Hobbit or BvS or Justice League.

Since Comcast stepped back from the Fox bid, the share holders approved the price and Disney's is just waiting some approvals to complete the purchase, some people have gone into full retard mode. Really, really odd! I'm just saying...

I would've read this and may have agreed/disagreed, but the Kidnappers/Zodiac Killer/Joker's Love letter style formatting prevented it.

The reason IW did not get the same CGI criticism is because their CGI was actually good, better than CGI in movies like The Hobbit or BvS or Justice League. Movies get marked down for bad cgi. BP was not that is the bias. Believe you me, if it was real criticism the movie will be a rotten on rt or get the same ratings as thor 1 for story. so both movies will be in the 50-60s on RT realistically.
The cgi criticism in infinity war is simple. the movie is just a cgi fest, as James Cameron and John Landis said- cgi and no story at all. no substance, no depth, no nothing. Avengers movies are like transformers.that is the thing with mcu. its either bad cgi or just all cgi and no story.
why do long time comic fans or xmen or batman fans like films like X2 or BB for been grounded? grounded movies limit the over use of CGI. the plot of the movie regardless of how flawed it is can shine and take centre stage. MCU movies have no plot or just a poor plot so they substitute it for CGI and critics turning a blind eye to that after calling out the hobbit , X3, or star wars 1-3 shows there is a bias

Way to cherry pick screen shots. The close up of Thanos is one of the few times that that they actually put effort into making it look good. There's various of shots through out the film where the CGI look bad. Especially the outriders. Thanos and Steppenwolf are examples of what should have been done as make-up.

To be honest they (Thanos and Stephenwolf) look exactly the same. this is where adaption becomes key. just because something is in a comic book does not mean it should look the exact same way in a live action film, you adapt to the environment or the visual medium.
DOFP is a perfect example. the adaption of the sentinels in the movie that looked different in the comics or cartoon worked.
sentinels from the comic and cartoon
Sentinels from the movies..aka Grounded for the purpose of keeping the tone
They are not physically twin looking but their ruthless villain action was the same. This is how to make quality comic films anyone can be proud off, regardless of if you like marvel, dc or are just a film fan.

I thought the CG on the sentinels looked bad in DofP as well. I don't know if I'm just getting sick of CGI altogether. But The Hobbit, Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Avatar, Transformers and Jurassic World. They all end up looking like video game cutscenes to me. As for the critics, who gives a fuck what they think? They're the same jackass's that claimed TLJ and Ghostbusters 2016 are amazing films. No one should take them seriously anymore.

Naaaah, the Sentinels in DOFP did not look bad, at least not in terms of film making. we see this prove when no one, not even critics or comic fans said so . For comic films they were the artistic best of the bunch and the fact that we saw them only 3 times in the film made it better because it made the complex story arc of Xavier, Magneto, Raven shine. less CGI as said.
if you want to see bad sentinels check out ultron and his bots in age of ultron. terrible. its a cartoon really.
