Is it another sequel? Or a reboot? Not sure, but it looks like they spent more than usual making this one, it even has a celebrity, Thomas Lennon, who you might remember from such reboots as The Odd Couple (2015-2017) and Lethal Weapon (2017-Present). www.joblo.com/movie-news/nazi-puppets-gore-galore-in-nsfw-puppet-master-the-littlest-reich-trailer-127I thought I was all caught up on this series, but looks like there was one called Puppet Master: Axis Termination (2017) that I missed...or did I not miss much?

From what I understand it’s a reboot with another production company. Hearing quite a lot postivity, and that it’s a gory delight.

Oh man, I had almost forgotten about this, or just maybe I might had it mixed up with Puppet Master: Axis Termination which I have not seen. However the trailer looked very, very good in fact it is one of few horror movie trailers in recent years which made me really want to see it. I guess I will have to wait for the DVD-Blu-ray release, and looking up at Amazon.com it might be out in late september or early october, but at least I will now have one new horror to look forward to seeing. Anyway, thanks for the heads up Lebowskidoo.

I am definitely ready to watch Lt. Jim Dangle tangle with some puppets.

So this is Nazi themed? Bound to be some outrage from some places.

Looks like I'll have to watch the other 12 up to this one. I still don't get why they keep making them when no one even watches them/has seen them.

This is a remake or reboot or whatever they call them these days. You don’t have to see the other movies. I have seen a few Puppet Master movies and even love some of them, but I stopped watching them a while ago. They have some dedicated fans who will watch any that comes out though.

If it were a remake, they'd drop the subtitle. I guess for creativity, but whatevs. I still feel like I should watch the others being a completist.

I think most who are familiar with Lennon know him from Reno 911!. I have a ton of Full Moon movies on video screeners. Some of them are quite good. Particularly any featuring the always awesome Jeffry Combs. Is Full Moon not around anymore? I vaguely remember there being a nazi angle to the Puppet master series. Maybe there will be a Hitler Puppet. Goose stepping around making Trump jokes. Seems almost too obvious.

But the Puppet Master movies are made by Full Moon and this is made by a different movie company. Also the puppets are not the same. This is a puppet from the original movies: These are some of the puppets in this movie and the one on the left is clearly a “remake” of the puppet above:
Anyway, I think the first 5 Puppet Master movies are good. You might like them.

I do prefer 2 and 3 over the first. 3 is my favorite.

I do prefer 2 and 3 over the first. 3 is my favorite. There's also The Legacy, which is supposed to the 8th one, but it's just like 40% of the actual movie and there's the other 60% or so which is a montage of clips from the previous movies. Not too curious about that one.

Charles Band is still around. He announced they are finally going to release the Primevals (40 plus years in the making--technically speaking it was originally a Hammer Film project for 1971).

Just watched it. What a blast! So much fun! A super entertaining horror movie that should please horror fans who don’t need their horror to be serious (not that it doesn’t have serious moments). One of the goriest movies I’ve seen in a while and all of the gore is done practically and most of it is pretty awesome! Most of the puppets are really cool and some of the characters are quite likeable which is pretty rare in low-budget horror movies these days. I also liked the score because it reminded me of some Lucio Fulci movies but that’s no surprise since it was scored by Fabio Frizzi. Anyway probably my new favorite Puppet Master movie!
