Provisional, as more signings will be made, injuries throughout season, manager out/manager in etc. But here's my 30 minute reasoning off the top of my head really. 1st | Man City | 2nd | Liverpool | 3rd | Spurs | 4th | Man Utd | 5th | Arsenal | 6th | Chelsea | 7th | Burnley | 8th | Everton | 9th | Leicester | 10th | Bournemouth | 11th | West Ham | 12th | Watford | 13th | Newcastle | 14th | Brighton | 15th | Southampton | 16th | Crystal Palace | 17th | Wolves | 18th | Huddersfield | 19th | Fulham | 20th | Cardiff |
Yeah, two of the promoted sides down with Wolves just surviving under the guidance of Santo. Huddersfield may have escaped relegation so narrowly last time, but not this time. They just didn't show me enough last season to warrant a three-season stay. Liverpool will challenge hard, I fancy, I really think they're gonna be The Entertainers this season, but entertainers who will win games, enough games to run Man City a close second. They've actually got the players for it. Spurs won't be far behind, the only stumbling block for them could be the mid-season move to their new home. But they'll keep United at bay and Arsenal are my surprise choice for 5th just behind United. Chelsea will do well to claim 6th and they're there because I just can't see the traditional Top Six mould being broken, not quite this season anyway, maybe next. Burnley could be affected by the Europa League slog if they progress in it but I still think Dyche has enough about him to get a repeat of last season's position out of his players. Then the mid-table scramble, with Leicester (whether Peul remains or not) and Bournemouth (going for a third mid-table finish in a row) leading the pack. I fancy West Ham to just about make a showing above Watford, perhaps by only a single point as was the case last season. There's too much going on behind the scenes at St James' Park to afford Newcastle any higher placing than 13th, I don't think they'll be in danger of going down - their fanatical won't-stay-away supporters will see to that, somehow, magically, erm, yeah somehow. Chris Hughton can only get stronger as a manager and the squad he has moulded should see Brighton finish in a not uncomfortable 14th. Southampton and Palace are gonna be the WBA of this season, except that they won't get relegated. Expect unexciting gameplay and plenty of nils in their score lines. What do ye say?

Discounting the battle between Liverpool & Man City for the title, the positions from 3rd place down to 6th will be very interesting. Surely Arsenal will not make top 4 but really wouldn't want to bet who else will miss out...
Otherwise relegation-wise, I've got a feeling Burley will do a 2nd season crash & burn. Wolves surely to join them.

Who cares? All that's important in England is that Barnsley will win league one and the uninspiringly named Johnson Paint Trophy, everything else just happens to provide context.
I'll put the highlights of their 4-nil obliteration of Oxford later. Two nice goals from outside the box.

It would be great if we could give City a run and its been a while since a team successfully defended the title, a few moments through the Summer I was thinking/dreaming it could be our year, I've never thought like that before, really, I've gone through so many decades and there must be a curse on us but with Klopps signings, if that keeper hits the ground running and we get another amazing Salah season and the rest of his signings are like his last bunch(still can't believe the purple patch of signings we're on), I've never felt so positive at a seasons start. Not gonna do a table cos I'll curse us by putting us top
A few teams that I think will finish lower are Spurs with their no signings and Burnley with their European journey

I've never felt so positive at a seasons start. Lovren. Despite all the excitement, he's still there and probably in the team...

Would be great if somebody came in with an offer for him, after all he did reach the 2 biggest finals. Looking on the bright side, he was nowhere near as bad when VVD started playing next to him. Hopefully the new guy behind him has a similar effect again BBC pundits top 4 predictions www.bbc.com/sport/football/45088530

EDIT: Apart from Dion Dublin.

I think Arsenal will have a good year, better than expected. Lot of people writing off Chelsea, I wouldn't discount them. They are always dangerous after a downbeat season.

Yeah Burnley, Watford and Wolves are the main bollixers but otherwise not too bad. Still time for a few little shifts. But can't see Huddy finishing any place else but bottom. Look at them, what a state. Who's their new manager? Do you know him? Fulham look arseholed under Raneiri. And Cardiff could survive at the expense of Newcastle especially if Benitez f***s off before his time. Liverpool continue to thwart me at the top and show no signs of letting up. United are on a roll but mostly played lower-mid clubs under latest management. Chelsea still no threat with a new striker, Spurs sure to hang on for 3rd in my eyes, even though been poor without Three Musketeers.
Ack, it's only a bit of fantasy fun.
