I realized I've never seen this sequel to The Blob (1958). I knew it was on YouTube so I watched it. It's more comedy than horror, although not really all that funny in a "ha ha" way but in some other bizarre way. Larry Hagman directed it, he must have been drunk doing so, because it's a bit weird throughout. Gets better by the end.

*spoilers*
Yes I hated the death of the Kitten as well. So much for peace & love! I have an indoor feral Orange Tabby. 3 years old. ×D
*end spoilers*
It was alright. I watched it on Amazon Prime awhile ago. There hasn't been any word on "The Blob" reboot or whatever starring Samuel L. Jackson in a minute.

One of the worst horror movies I've seen in recent memory. I too watched it on Prime and was grateful I didn't buy the Blu-ray without seeing it beforehand.
Beware the Blob indeed. 😏

Ah yes, the movie that J.R. shot. I think he may have been shot at the time, shot up with some substance that is.

I've seen it, definitely would've been better if they toned the cheese down a little, though I do find it interesting Del Close had a brief part in that movie, then went on to be the reverend in the 1988 remake of the original. Also, THIS is where Porky's/Porky's II got that running naked down the street and being spotted by a cop car joke came from? The naked Turk running down the street after the Blob enters his bathroom?

It's pretty cheesy and not nearly on par with the original, but enjoyable in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. The stupid characters are quite hilarious but the effects for the blob are really cheap and crappy looking. It looked a lot better in the 1958 film. And I hate the kitten scene too.
