DC and Warner Bros. have tapped Oren Uziel to pen the script. Supergirl may be flying on to the big screen. Here we go, again.

No. I wouldn't advise it. Here's a question for DC: Why do it? Why make a movie about a character who's currently enjoying a decent run in one of their TV shows? It just confuses audiences. I'd understand if they were lacking in decent characters for movies but they aren't. There are loads of characters out there that have never seen the light of a movie or tv show that they can tap. Why double-book a character that's already on TV? Heck, why not concentrate on giving us a proper Superman movie first before doing a Supergirl? If the issue is because you want a female hero then do Big Barda or Zatanna. Leave Supergirl alone for the moment, at least until she's run a decent course in her TV show.

They should introduce her in MoS2. Have Lex and Metallo as the villains while the plot is around her. She finds out Krypton is destroyed. At the end, Superman sends her to Themyscira for training by Wonder Woman. MoS3 Brainiac is the villain. Both Superman and Supergirl find out Brainiac has Kandor.

Btw, I'm suing you for plagiarism. Relax I'm joking.

What isn't in the works now...there must be a dozen of these movies that are in the works. They announce a new one every week.

The real mystery we all want answered from DC...why haven't they cast Kate Upton as Power Girl already? Upton's got one of the finest racks in Hollywood. But she makes Cara Delevingne seem Shakespearean by comparison. That's why.

If the issue is because you want a female hero then do Big Barda or Zatanna. Leave Supergirl alone for the moment, at least until she's run a decent course in her TV show. Why? No offence but maybe 'cause the TV show is nothing remotely like the majority of the Supergirl comic books and speaking as a longtime 'Supergirl' fan who owns a large amount of 'Supergirl' comic books in comic book and graphic novel form including every single comic book of the 'Supergirl/ Linda Danvers' series by Peter David the TV show is not as bad as the awful adaption of 'Birds of Prey' but it is not Supergirl and is more like a 'Superman' TV show with a female lead. In most of the 'Supergirl' comic books both Kara and Linda have been largely portrayed as edgy and aggressive characters and Kara is far more alien than Clark 'cause she didn't grow up on earth with a human family (as they added in the show) and was less trusting of humans and didn't even like them to begin with and failed to see why her cousin went out of his way to save them 'cause she saw the worst of humanity at first and saw herself as being above humans. In a lot of the comic books Kara is pissed off over her home planet being destroyed and she takes out her anger and rage on villains not holding back with her powers. Unlike Superman both Kara and Linda are not against killing and have killed and both also like fighting and Kara spends most of her time flying around in the sky looking for villains to fight.
This is a character that told a guy she caught trying to rape a woman if she ever saw him again she would tear his nuts off and shove them down his throat and her best insult in the show has been "go away you mean girl." Kara is nothing like she is in the comic books at all. They gave her Clark Kent's nerdy personality and also have her working as a journalist like Clark Kent which is completely out of character. Another big difference between Supergirl and Superman is Supergirl has killed. Kara has used her heat vision to burn villains until they told her what they wanted flew villains up into the sky and dropped them and caught them right before they hit the ground to scare them and Linda Danvers has burned demons into ashes and ripped people's heads off. She is more powerful than Superman and the government and villains saw her as more of a threat 'cause of her anger 'cause she could wipe out the world very easily.
Supergirl doesn't have a regular group of side characters they put in the show like Superman has with Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Lana Lang, Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan (Smallville) and spends most of her time alone and most importantly she doesn't have a main love interest and the longest relationship she had was with Nightwing yet in Season 2 of the Show they tried to turn it into the Mon-El show with Mon-El getting more airtime than Kara and than they used Mon El again to degrade Saturn Girl into 'The Other Woman' stripping her of the majority of her powers when she is the most powerful psychic superhero in DC and should have known Sam was Reign and been able to go into her mind and kick Reign out. It is time we get a real proper adaption of 'Supergirl.' The closest we had was Laura Vandervoort's version in 'Smallville' but I am more in favour of Linda Danvers - The Earth Born Angel of Fire as Supergirl so we can get a Horror Superhero movie.

Ok... that didn't really address any of the points I made. The point isn't comicbook accuracy, because really what's you're assurance that DCEU Supergirl will be any closer to CW Supergirl? The point is that we already have an ongoing show, under DC property, that showcases the exact same character as what they plan to use in a movie. Not only that but they have a plethora of yet untapped characters that can be used for movies. There was no need to double-book the Supergirl character. At this point it just seems DC is taking the lazy route.

Not only that but they have a plethora of yet untapped characters that can be used for movies. There was no need to double-book the Supergirl character. At this point it just seems DC is taking the lazy route. Assurances? The fact it has been straight out said the 'Supergirl' movie will be significantly different than the TV Show and be more in line with the comic books meaning we will get a more aggressive and edgy character which we should have got in the show had they not turned Kara Zor-El into a female version of Clark Kent. Yes, we already have an ongoing show - we also have an ongoing show of 'The Flash' with Barry Allen but I didn't see anybody complaining about that when they could have gone with the original Flash, Jay Garrick or Bart Allen/ Impulse instead if they wanted to do something different. Let's not forget we have had dozens of Superman adaptions with Kirk Alyn, George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, Gerard Christopher, Dean Cain, Tom Welling, Brandon Routh and Henry Cavill and we even have Superman in the 'Supergirl' TV show played by Tyler Hoechlin. Many of those have done the character justice over the years in movies and TV shows. Same can't be said about 'Supergirl' and we have yet to have one adaption that is like the comic books. We can say it is Warner Bros taking the lazy path but I doubt the opinion would be that if it was Green Arrow. Supergirl is one of DC's biggest selling and most well known superheroes and she is also one of their most powerful and is more powerful than Superman. It makes perfect sense to have her in the DCEU.
