Gosh I hope it is not true. please disney don't do this. don't take away the last credibility of comic films. you cant buy Oscars norm as comic films, you have to earn it artistically like logan and tdk. So disney wants black panther to win Oscars so bad they bribed them in a meaningless category that is mtv awards.Gosh. this is just too low. also you know what this means..right? the mcu critical bias just became more truthful. Disney influences the media.also again, this hurts black panther than helps it.

If they want people to watch the show, quit having lame hosts like Kimmel or McFarlane.

MCU is so fucking pathetic. They can't get any non-technical Oscars so they bully the Academy into creating a category so they can finally get a non-technical Oscar.

I didnโt see a single mention of MCU in that article. Are MCU fans as foolish as Tom Brady fans? Shady Brady was caught using deflated footballs in a conference championship game and Brady's equipment guy just happens to call himself "The Deflator" and was seen taking a bag of footballs into a private restroom before the game. Yet, Shady Brady fans still refuse to accept the simple truth that Brady's equipment guy "The Deflator" illegally deflated the footballs for Brady to use in the game. ABC/Disney bullied the Academy into creating this category. And Disney owns MCU. How do you MCU fans not see that Disney bulled the Academy into creating this award so MCU, which hasn't come anywhere close to getting a non-technical Oscar after 20 movies, can finally get a non-technical Oscar?

Why not say โDisney is so fucking patheticโ? Why does everything have to be specifically about the MCU with you?

I donโt give a fuck about your stupid football analogies. I donโt give a fuck about football. No MCU fans arenโt as foolish as Tom Brady fans, theyโre more foolish. MCU fans are the worst most foolish people on the planet. Innit?

Why specifically the MCU? Why could it not be Star Wars related or Walt Disney Studios related or any of their live action movies like Beauty and the Beast? Black Panther and Infinity War made $3.4 billion between them and got rave reviews from critics and audiences why would they care about that? The Academy Awards ratings are going down the crapper because the movies that win are always the ones that people don't watch. So apparently they're making a category for movies that people actually know about now.

Because the reason Disney bullied the Academy into creating this award was so that MCU, which hasn't come anywhere close to getting a non-technical Oscar after 20 movies, can finally get a non-technical Oscar. Why specifically the MCU? Why could it not be Star Wars related Because Star Wars was nominated for an Oscar in 2 non-technical categories (Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor). And it took Star Wars only 1 movie to get those Oscar nominations. It's MCU that after 20 movies has never gotten any Oscar nomination in a non-technical category. That looks really embarrassing and that's why Disney bullied the Academy to create this new category so MCU can finally say the got a non-technical Oscar nomination. The Academy Awards ratings are going down the crapper because the movies that win are always the ones that people don't watch. That's what Disney wants people to believe. But as someone pointed out on the general Film board, here are the top 10 highest-grossing movies when adjusted for inflation: Gone With the Wind (1939) Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977) The Sound of Music (1965) E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982) Titanic (1997) The Ten Commandments (1956) Jaws (1975) Doctor Zhivago (1965) The Exorcist (1973) Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) The top 9 were all nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and 3 of them (Gone with the Wind, The Sound of Music, and Titanic) won the Best Picture Oscar. So the movies that people watch do get Oscar nominations and wins, when they're good and deserve it. It's just MCU movies that haven't gotten the Oscar nominations because they're not good and don't deserve it. So Disney bullied the Academy to create a new category for them.

It's MCU that after 20 movies has never gotten any Oscar nomination in a non-technical category. That looks really embarrassing and that's why Disney bullied the Academy to create this new category so MCU can finally say the got a non-technical Oscar nomination. What's embarrassing about that? They aren't Oscar level movies nor are they made out to be. They're good movies with good acting but they aren't exceptional enough to be nominated for the best movie or the best acting of the year. They're just popcorn blockbuster movies and nothing more like Fast and the Furious or Mission Impossible. Well that's besides the point because look at how old all those movies are. The most recent one amongst them is E.T which is 36 years old. The issue is that now the ratings are terrible. They weren't terrible back then so it wasn't an issue. This year's Oscars brought in a whole 20% less TV ratings than the previous year so they're desperate for a gimmick and so they're trying to pull in the more mainstream movies into it to attract interest. That's all this is about. The TV ratings are dropping so they're just bringing attention to the big movies that people actually go to see.
