I saw it once while recuperating from the wreck at home. I was on massive pain killers, antinemetics, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatories. I haven't rewatched it since. I know it was the cocktail I was on but the movie freaked me the fuck out. I don't remember large swaths of it but I just felt a general since of foreboding and anxiety while watching it. Again probably the meds. You should probably give it another try. When i watched it first time with friends at the cinema, we walked out after the first 20 minutes (moreso their decision than mine, they dont like indie films). I watched it fully when it came out on streaming and really enjoyed it. It is pretentious but theres a lot to like about Keatons struggles. I still have it I should. I was in serious pain at the time, and recovering from a head injury that I was in a coma for 30+ hours a few weeks before. Not exactly the right head space plus I was on Dilaudid, Percocet, Ativan, Phenergren, Zophran, Flexeril, prednisone, and Soma. (I also had Lunesta but didn't feel like taking it cuz you know was in a coma felt like too much)

I only recognise prednisone from that list because I took it for a while back for a chest infection. Are you still taking any of them?

Not for that. I have another issue I take Tramadol (weak pain med) and Phenergren for. I get nauseous from opiods. The issue does call for something stronger every once in a while. Nothing like after the wreck. I had to take Dilaudid (basically heroin every 6 hours). Percocet (oxy codone) staggered every 4 hours) so I didn't have break through pain. Once you let it get out of control being macho it takes a shit ton of pain killer to get it back to tolerable. The rest was staggered throughout the day or as needed. Occasionally I have to take Prednisone for asthma. The rest I'm off of. Opiod dependency is a bitch to get off of. You aren't exactly addicted, but your body gets real used to it. You have to step down or withdrawl can actually kill you if your tolerance gets high enough. Even with stepping down I felt like the worst Flu I've ever had that feeling of uselessness x10. I was out of serious pain in like 2 months. Moderate pain another month. Now just nerve problems in right arm/hand. Some numbness in left shin area. Nothing neurological in the brain from the coma head damage. I had some nerve damage from my shoulder break before I was working through when the wreck happened.

I'm getting better with the nerve problems. I shooting for winter to get serious about art work again. One good thing I got a nice 2017 Chrysler 200 out of it though so not all that bad. The Celica was old but I over insured the shit out of that thing. Plus I splurged a bit.
