I just had my dinner. It's almost midnight here so it was late even for my usual standards. I had chickpeas and rice with simple yoghurt salad.
Hope you have a good dinner tonight.

No cooking tonight. We've got 2 ears of corn left from the big bunch I cooked earlier this week, so those along with some grilled cheese sammies will do nicely.

I'll be having a lazy tea this evening...
Crinkle cut oven Chips. Baked garlic. Baked onion. Low salt baked beans (with madras powder).
In my defence, I do eat a pretty healthy mixed fresh vegetable curry and rice most days. So I'm allowed a lazy day once in a while😉

I find your eating habits very intriguing considering you are a Brit of Irish origin. Since how long have you been eating Indian food so regularly.

Can't remember which dish, but one Indian meal was voted the nations favourite meal. When I grew up food was pretty bland. Indian food came as a revelation when I was about 16... Loved it straight away. I eat a hot veg curry as my main meal most days. It's pretty healthy as I shallow stir fry the veggies in a wok, add the curry powder mix of my choice (I shop for ones where salt is low down on the list of ingredients), add a tin of plum tomatoes, chop up a fresh tomato to add, top up with water, simmer. Never get bored of it. And always leave enough to eat cold for breakfast. Delicious cold in the morning 😋 Apart from that, I tend to go with colcannon, or colcannon cakes. Delicious, nutritious Irish peasant fare.

I think Chicken Tikka Masala is considered UK's national or favourite food. Yeah, I have lived an year in Leicester and a considerable time in London. Indian food is definitely big thing in UK.

Lamb is my favorite meat, but this will be my first attempt at lamb stew. I've looked at variations on the recipe "Agneau Navarin," and there are enough different approaches that I feel comfortable playing with it. Most of the recipes call for potatoes, but I'm going to do rice, instead.

I think goat meat may not be easily available in US but many people also find it delicious. It tastes slightly distinct from lamb meat.

I have had goat ... many years ago. I recall liking it, but the specifics of the memory are a little dim. I don't remember linking it to the flavor of lamb. It isn't widely available in most meat markets, here. However, there are a lot of goat farms, for dairy and meat, in northern California, and they're available through those.
