like online... they have gone on longer than they should have at times as every now and then I get a little rattled. like one thing that comes to mind in the not too distant past (which probably happened roughly 5-7 years ago or so)... which I think was on the American Idol section of the IMDb boards when they were still around, while I don't remember the exact details, one person (who was I think a female) made a post and I forgot exactly how we got into it initially but I think she made some comments and I said something like if you used a actual computer it would make things easier etc and you could tell she was getting aggressive with me (i.e. like that 'how dare you tell me that!' mindset (i.e. snob) (at least she came across to me in that kind of way which did not help things from my perspective in staying calmer)) and what I think irked me even more is that her IMDb avatar picture, which I am assuming was a picture of herself, she came across to be as a snob which fueled me even more (she kind of came across as one of those snob types of 'how dare you question me' sort of mindset). but basically... I should have let it go earlier than I did but when your a bit worked up, I am no longer calm, and you sort of get into that mode of needing to 'top' the other person etc (i.e. it becomes more difficult to let-it-go). basically between our argument we kind of hi-jacked the page which I was apologizing to the OP (who I think was a female and based on her IMDb picture, which I think was a picture of her, she seemed like a cool person which made me feel kind of bad about hi-jacking the thread) etc but I still kept my comments within reason (as usual  ) even though I might have made some sarcastic comments towards that person as I think many people react kind of like that when some snob comes across with that 'how dare you question me' mindset etc because that nature within you to want to take them down kind of takes over even though it would be better if I were just be a bit more humble and let it go after a basic comment or two and stay actually calm and not that kind of crap many blurt out when someone tries to calm them down etc and they reply with 'I am calm!' when they are clearly not and someone has got into their head and at that point you just got to let things play themselves out and eventually they will calm down. just some thoughts  |
