Not only won’t they make the playoffs, they won’t for the next 5 years. I guess DC Fan calls his predictions into Boston radio shows now

I think Bob in Walpole was actually calling from MCI-Cedar Junction.

Good runs do end, eventually.
Ask the 1991-2005 Atlanta Braves.

There is almost a 0% chance they miss the playoffs this year. The AFC is as weak as it's ever been.

Who is going to win the division in their place? Ryan Tannehill? Todd Bowles with a rookie under center and said rookie’s dad on the sideline? Or the triumvirate of Nate Peterman, AJ McCarron and Josh Allen?

Just remember the Patriots were not picked to win the division either, in 2001.

Not only won’t they make the playoffs, they won’t for the next 5 years. I guess DC Fan calls his predictions into Boston radio shows now If so, it is due to your cartel-like franchise system. Ironically, the country that promotes capitalism and the free market the most, has the cartel as role model for its league systems. I wounder how this is actually possible?! Both: the draft and the salary cap - and other elements - serve solely the purpose to protect and enhance the profits of the owners. I also find it quite strange that not the coach, or the captain of the team, but an old fart gets the trophy first. Anyway: the draft prevent that a great team will stay at the top for much longer than a decade, mostly even shorter. When they won the Super Bowl, they are the last to draft in the next season and thus they get in nine out of ten the worst players. One can compensate this for some time, but sooner or later one will no longer stay competitive. And thus, due to this cartel/socialism, every old fart gets the chance that their toy wins this thing. European Juggernauts like Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are impossible here, for the no club can operate freely on the market and thrive due to its individual achievements, risks takings, decisions, visions, ideas etc. pp. The Pats were lucky to get a great coach, and to draft Brady in the 7th (iirc) round for he went totally under the radar back then. This is the few times when the system is beaten, and a team can still dominate. But else it is a cartel which works to benefit the owners, and nobody else. So, there is nothing boldly in this prediction.

You should have to earn your titles by building your teams, not just throwing money at people. And the idea is that the system benefits the fans of small market teams whose teams' wouldn't have a shot otherwise.

In a division that have the Bills, the Dolphins and the Jets? Of course they are making the playoff.

The Pats will obviously make the playoffs this year, they are in a division with 3 mediocre teams that they are far superior to. The Pats are still the best team in the AFC, along with the Jaguars and maybe the Steelers.

I try to stay optimistic for the Jets sake, but come the fuck on! Patriots will be there, barring Brady going down with two broken legs and a ruptured spleen and Bill Belichick getting busted for making Youtube videos on how to cook and eat homeless people.

It’s a bold prediction. Most predictions tend to be safe. I admire his balls.

Good runs do end, eventually. Ask the 1991-2005 Atlanta Braves. The Patriots run is going to end any day now Squidward!!!
