It's sad. They have to put that on there because some idiot ate the wrapper. It's like at my firm, when we hire new employees and I'm onboarding them and I tell them "you cannot wear pajamas to work." They're completely baffled that I'm telling them that because it's seems like a no brainer but I tell them because we had one moron who would come to work in pajamas. This in an Engineering firm. Pajamas. Yes, people are idiots. Casual Friday means different things to different people. Sadly, it was every day. He'd come in pajamas or shorts and then change as people would start showing up. I did a double take the first time I saw him in pajamas and then again when he was wearing shorts - I thought he was in his underwear. He's walking around a professional engineering firm like he's in his apartment on a Saturday morning. Oblivious to the world, these people.

You know you’ve had enough of a commercial when it keeps mentioning words like “privates, butt crack, underboob”, and “groin area” over and over again.

Ah, the love of Mcdonald's - something that truly brings communities together.
If I raised my eyebrows like that at an adjacent motorist, they'd probably want to fight me on the road. And they'd be right.

And they'd be right. I find it best not to make suggestive gestures to other people in traffic queues... And that's why I keep a claw hammer in my driver's side door pocket.

And they'd be right. Also seems really stupid to convince everyone at the intersection to go to McDonald's with you, unless you don't mind waiting in line for an hour to order your food.

For some reason, most of the FF food commercials I see on sports stations are Wendy's, or maybe they annoy me th most. Never saw that McDonalds ad, I see a few Taco Bell, Chick Fil A, DQ, Sonic, Whataburger, I think, but not seeing much McDonalds, KFC, or BK.

I have an aluminum baseball bat in all my vehicles. When I was working, I had a .38 in the door pocket. Some of my accounts were in dicey places.

And they'd be right. So, this one actually came up on my Facebook feed today. The comments section was something else. Guess what the pressing concern of these people was? "I didn't know there were so many interracial couples in the world" says Mr Shaved-Head White Guy. Yep, that's his first thought when he views this commercial. Like, it never even crossed my mind to specifically notice that there's an interracial couple (or more than one? I'd have to watch it again to find out - I won't) but that's this guy's immediate reaction? "Woke marketing." Right, because we need to have ads only featuring white people, or if they have to feature other races, those races need to stick together, not mix. Are we back in 1823? I really, really need to deactivate my Facebook account.

There are other vehicles that have multiple ethnicities in rear passenger seats, but those are younger groups of friends, not necessarily couples. There's also a black bus driver with some white students, is that still allowed? Specifically looking for things that would set this guy off, I did notice one of the cars had two men in the front seat and what appeared to be a special needs child in one of the rear passenger seats. He must've had a heart attack before commenting on that one. Congratulations to him though, he made both of us acknowledge this commercial's reflection of societal reality, despite all its situational ridiculousness.

I get the feeling that the sight of any non-white person would set him off. One interracial couple is apparently one too many - people like this could watch 20 commercials in a row and the second they see a black person front and center, they're like "sigh, I wish they'd stop shoving all this woke stuff down my throat."

Simultaneously, every one of my work shoes (college professor) started falling apart at the end of last semester. I probably hadn't bought new work shoes in five years because I have a 12-year-old monster who is already in size 11.5 shoes so every shoe dollar in the house went to him and his sister. The last time I had bought shoes, I went to DSW, so I went there again. When I was there in 2018, a quarter of the store was dedicated to men's shoes. When I went earlier this month, there was one aisle dedicated to men's shoes - - everything else (and these are huge box stores) was women's or kid's. Apparently men don't wear work shoes anymore - - everything is a sneaker. I now understand the guys who are now in Palm Beach/6 feet under who saw me when I first started teaching in 1999 and were disgusted that I didn't have a three-piece suit on.

Maybe these commercials work for whatever people care about social media influencers/content creators - - I'm guessing that's who these people are. I wouldn't watch a second of them unless it was of the dad being beaten by ten guys with cricket bats.

Even if I did, it wouldn't make the commercial any more tolerable.

NJtoTX post reminded me of this stupid commercial. What I hate most is there's zero warning. No matter how fast I can turn it off it's full nasty earworm.
