So is Avengers: Infinity War really as fantastic as i have seen many people claim it too be ?
Or are they just being fooled by the hype of it which makes them thinks its better than what it actually is ?

Honestly? It's the best out of phase 3.
But depending on how Avengers 4 handles the fallout may change that.

If you've been a fan of the Marvel movies for a while, you may love it. I personally did.

It's a great event movie for fans, not a good film per se.
It's Infinity Bore, if you are not a fan. The MCU formula goes overdrive: It's relentless CGI-clobber porn through all 3 acts with ample jokes and quips but featuring the villain's journey this time around. Like DC, which is great.
The best things are the Thanos scenes and the "Leftovers" scene at the end. Well done that. Now watch MCU destroy that by bringing nearly everybody back and the film losing all of teh gravitas it may appear to have (see GotG actors returning, SM 2 etc).
6.5/10 for now

Yeah, it’s really a shame that Marvel and DC both stopped publishing anything after the first time they killed each character in the comics. Those companies and characters were too short lived. 🤪

I think it’s amazing, but I’m biased. 🤭 That said, it’s the first cosmic MCU film that has the right mix of seriousness and humor for everyone from both extreme viewpoints to appreciate. The character dynamics and mixup of interactions is very well handled and I think each makes sense for the preestablished representation of the individual characters we’ve gotten up to this point. At this point, I often get bored during action scenes in movies, or just kind of tune out, but the action is exciting and well choreographed. The use of powers is interesting. Thanos is a fantastically conceived character. His gravitas and screen presence is just spot on. Ebony Maw is a creepy, perfectly menacing secondary. The end, and the black silence of the credits with no cgi credits sets the tone and makes it that much more impactful what just happened. I think everyone should at least give this one a shot.

It's like having your cake and eat it too, and sell some toys. A kid's paradise. But nothing more.

I liked it but didn't love it as much as I expected I would. It does deliver on making Thanos an imposing threat and the sheer scale of the movie is sometimes impressive. It's not like the 'RETURN OF THE KING' of superhero movies though.
