I'm a massive Simpsons and Futurama fan... Wondering if I should get Netflix just to watch this.

Started it yesterday. If you enjoy Matt Groenings other cartoons youll probably enjoy it. It has comedic timing similar to Futurama. The first episode is probably the pilot tho, because it has weird audio at times and seems like they skimped on a lot of dialog...but the quality quickly improves.
Im on episode 4 and its definitely got its moments. Elfo is great.

I am not impressed so far. It seems slower paced than Futurama or Simpsons and thus the episodes feel like they're an hour rather than a half hour.
To me, it's just a weird vibe that I'm not feeling.

That was surprising to see While I can definitely understand a rating of 5-6, it is not a horrible show. Actually the animation is pretty well done. It's definitely more Futurama than Simpsons in that regard with lots of details in setting.

There are definitely the occasional long scenes. Like it will linger on something a little longer than necessary to the point where you’re left waiting for a joke that never comes. It’s more prevalent in the first episode than it is the middle ones so far as I’ve seen.

They probably wrote it differently expecting people to binge them. So instead of tightly written episodes they take more time to stretch stories over the whole season? Just a guess. But that's how it was for me with Daredevil. If I had to take those one a week I would've lost interest because there's so much filler.

I’m six or seven episodes in now and the problem isn’t really the story. The world of fantasy is ripe for parody. It’s the writing. There’s no way they are using the same writers they’ve used in the past. Plus I don’t really care about the characters. In both Simpsons and Fiturama there was either empathy or pity that could help us care about them. I am not really interested in Bean or the other characters. So I’m the end I’m primarily watching it for the story and visuals.

I have to add kind of a downward viewpoint upon finishing the season unfortunately...the show ends on kind of a big cliffhanger. I absolutely hate cliffhangers...especially big ones. When it finally did get the story moving past episodic adventures, it was interesting...but then they end on this big cliffhanger and i immediately have a sour taste in my mouth. Ugh.

But Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein are there, and they were involved with The Simpsons up until season 9

I gave up on The Simpsons ages ago but I gave this show a try and it was amusing enough to keep me watching. It's not great but it has more than few good moments. Love the demon.

I hate the demon. The demon and Bean's relationship is the most annoying part of the show.
The argument is that he is supposed to be a corrupting influence on Bean, but it turns out that Bean is horrible in her own right. She was actually horrible before we met the demon.
The demon himself reminds me of a less funny Bart Simpson.
