8/10. I love Pink, and that movie blew my mind as a kid.

6/10. I loved it at first, but the older I got the more misogynist and whiny it started to seem to me.

I remember Siskel and Ebert really laying into this one on their show. Personally, as a huge Pink Floyd fan, I had major issues with it for years; lack of dialogue, inferior musical versions to the album, unrelenting dark tone, entire climax being animated, etc. Since that time I've come to appreciate the artistry in the live-action "music video" portions of it and in the animated segments as well, even if some of the images are still borderline offensive. Once you stop taking it so seriously, you can laugh at parts of it. Also, Roger Waters' commentary track on the dvd is side-splitting hilarious.

It wasn't an easy film for me to rate. I love Pink Floyd's music but i wasn't rating that i was rating the film which i didn't enjoy at all and i too was frustrated with the inferior versions of the music. I'd much rather listen to Pink Floyd and watch a good film separately.
