Because besides The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby and a small handful of tracks here and there, their music is insipid and extremely average. Listening to how flat Zooropa, Pop and All That You Can't Leave Behind are, I'm thinking "how can this be the same band that wrote Where the Streets Have No Name and With or Without You?

Their first five or six albums have some good songs here and there; even the pretty weak "October" has a few top tunes ("Gloria," "I Fall Down," "With A Shout"). However, anything past the album "Zooropa" (which was way back in 1993) has really been flat out terrible. Hard to find even one top song from the band in over 24 years!

Says the same moron who thinks Depeche Mode is a bad band. Maybe you should attend a Maroon 5 gig.

Teenybopper bands. If you are into junior high school crap like "people are people so why should it be you and I should get along so awfully" then you are definitely a Maroon 5 fan. Hey, kid, one day you'll realize that there is adult music out there. Music with guts, heart, and soul. And lyrics that twelve year old kids can't relate to.

Do you agree with me that DM is better than Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band?

If you think "I Just Can't Get It Up" is on the same musical strata as the songs on "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" then you are officially legally deaf.

They have released a few good tracks since then. The video to one of those good tracks features my avatar's mortal enemy (or one of my avatar's mortal enemies I should say). A bonus point for anyone who can name the song and the person I am referring too. And in answer to the original question, no, of course they're not a two hit wonder. Ridiculous question.
