How do you think the (Carol Danvers) Captain Marvel movie will tie into the ending events of IW?

I think the film is supposed to take place in the 90’s. I’m guessing a CATFA style bookending where she’s in outer space and receives the distress beacon. Then she will feature in the modern day dealing with it in A4.

How do you think the (Carol Danvers) Captain Marvel movie will tie into the ending events of IW? Quite unsure. I have my doubts about introducing Captain Marvel at the last minute into IW to save the day. Considering the decade worth of build up with all the movies and shows, relatively speaking, coming in after the events of Infinity War is practically the last minute.
No matter where the Captain Marvel movie is set (90's, other side of galaxy) she'll be new as of her own movie. That's not a lot of build up to her being the deciding factor in the fate of half of all life.
But in theory, if anyone can do it, it's the MCU.

Well, it’s certainly going to be a team effort. Ant-Man affording time travel through the quantum zone, possibly leading to him being part of the “original” Avengers line-up, as he should have been. Anyway, Danvers playing an important role in the final act after a single movie introduction isn’t too soon/too late. Characters play major roles in single movies or after being around for only one prior movie, both heroically and antagonistically. She had a mention already in IW as a way to signify a last hope from left field. Fury was holding onto this one card for when things got worse than ever before. All of the previous problems, he had faith in those nearby. Now! It’s time to call for real help. But that doesn’t lessen the impact or importance the original crew (plus Rocket and Nebula) will play going forward. They are going to get the focus of the next installment, with probably a side story for CM, similar to Thor’s role in IW. He did his own thing and swooped in to save the others when they seemed lost, then they all continued working together. 🤷♂️
