I typically wash it when I wash my bed sheets etc which is about once every couple of weeks (or no more than a month MAX).
I get in the shower 3 times a week typically. 2x2x3, so say something like Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday or some variation of that pattern, tweaked as needed.
so given this info... I voted for 5+ times. but if you thoroughly clean yourself in the shower, which I do, it's not a big deal using the towel many times before washing it as the towel should stay pretty clean for a while, or clean enough.

It probably depends upon what time of year it is.
During summer it probably gets a couple more uses than during winter, due to the warmer weather and the fact that it dries out better and quicker.
However, I normally use it for a week. I have two of them in the bathroom and I alternate between them and wash them once a fortnight, on average.

I found out a few years ago that there is a distinct racial difference between white and black people I know regarding towel usage. Nearly every white person I know reuses their towel although they admit they never buy white towels for some reason. I am the only black person that admits to reusing towels on occasion and our family only have white towels. I never asked black friends the color question. I was hoping there would be a wider study on this.

I almost always buy towels of blue colour. My parents are very particular about using fresh towels but I reuse them at least 5 and at most 8 times before washing.

Oh my God, more than 5 times??! You people are disgusting. I am surprised by this poll. Once I dry the towel goes in the dirty cloths basket.

Oh my God, more than 5 times??! You people are disgusting. Assuming you wash yourself well and allow the towel to dry, why wouldn't you use it more than a few times?

about 3. I don't have my own washer or dryer [we're not allowed but we do have our own laundry room in our buildings] I have found a trick of using a small washer and wash all my towels/sheets at the same time, whether they need it or not. usually the need it or could use it. that way I can use a special fabric softener and use my regular detergent rather than the scent free I usually use on my clothes.
fresh sheets and towels make everything alright.

what is the reason someone washes the towel after only one use? (the use being to dry off after shower or bath, nor to wipe the floor with or dry yourself off during your gym session).
for those people:
1. if u dont sleep naked - do u wash your sleeping clothes after each night?
2. how about sheets? after each night?
