I didn’t watch the video, but Islam has more in common with Christianity than anything I believe. That’s why I find it perplexing that all you theists spend so much time attacking each other, as though one group is more virtuous than another. You guys are all cut from the same cloth; delusional theists who can use religion to justify anything you want, not matter how immoral!
Replace the word “Islam” with “Catholicism”

It seems pretty OK in Christianity... Priests seem to have been bumming kids left right and centre. Catholics, protestants, born agains, they're all at it.

The moral is, if a bloke believes in a magical sky man, and pretends to speak for him on Earth, they shouldn't be allowed access to children.

Be sure to tell your Muslim drinking buddies down the pub that.

It's like a disease with Christian clergy.

Dougal, you’re genuinely either the stupidest person who has ever posted here or you’re one of the absolute worst and unfunniest trolls to ever disgrace the board. Either way you’re not doing yourself any favours. My advice to you would be clean up your act or find another hobby.

No, I’m actually not. I’m very much pro-Christ as a philosophy. I’m anti-theism and anti-religion. Which means I’m against Christianity and Islam. In any case I’m pretty sure most Muslims would disagree with you since they rever Christ as a profit. Also because I’m harsher on Islam than Christianity. Both Muslims and Christians engage in heinous acts (crimes against humanity) and use religion to either justify it, or cover it up. You people are not anymore “moral” than anyone else. In fact, oftentimes you are worse, especially when you consider the hypocrisy of what you claim to believe in.

captainbryce Christ’s philosophy is based around the principle to "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind';” As an atheist you reject this. Part of Christ’s philosophy was also to be a sacrifice for our own redemption. You and Muslims reject this. Muslims, just like you, oppose the divinity of Christ that by the biblical definition makes you both antichrists.

Fact: there are no verses proscribing child abuse in the Bible. Neither does it come up, as far as I can tell, in the Qu'ran.
But we do have such choice verses as "Ezekiel 9:6 "Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children ... " or Isaiah 13:16 "Their little ones also will be dashed to pieces before their eyes"..

It's pretty simple... Islam is evil, Christianity is good. but it seems some liberals nowadays are okay with Islam and just about everything else besides Christianity which is proven good here in the USA etc. but lately, for many liberals, what was once good is now bad and what was once bad is now good. it's a wonder how some people can become so blind. captainbryceAgreed as some people try to twist things for their own corrupt benefit. but that's where the Catholic church comes into play as it's the moral guide of the world. they speak with authority when it comes to morals etc (since it's THE church Jesus Christ Himself started with Peter(who's the first pope) and went through the generations til today) but many won't listen because they don't like what they have to say because it does not suit their sinful ways (one thing I am sure plenty of people ignore, even "Catholics", is the Church's position on contraception). but as usual, the world's ways (of which many are entrenched in) are often opposed to Jesus Christ's ways. the Catholic church is correct, those opposing it's moral truths are simply wrong. period. also, there are people who can take any random thing from the bible and twist it to try to make Christianity look bad. but these people are either flat out shady or don't realize what they are opposing. I would imagine many simply don't realize what they are rejecting. but it pretty much boils down to this for many since they oppose Jesus Christ's truth... "If I were not a Catholic, and were looking for the true Church in the world today, I would look for the one Church which did not get along well with the world; in other words, I would look for the Church which the world hated. My reason for doing this would be, that if Christ is in any one of the churches of the world today, He must still be hated as He was when He was on earth in the flesh. If you would find Christ today, then find the Church that does not get along with the world. Look for the Church that is hated by the world as Christ was hated by the world. Look for the Church that is accused of being behind the times, as our Lord was accused of being ignorant and never having learned. Look for the Church which men sneer at as socially inferior, as they sneered at Our Lord because He came from Nazareth. Look for the Church which is accused of having a devil, as Our Lord was accused of being possessed by Beelzebub, the Prince of Devils. Look for the Church which, in seasons of bigotry, men say must be destroyed in the name of God as men crucified Christ and thought they had done a service to God. Look for the Church which the world rejects because it claims it is infallible, as Pilate rejected Christ because He called Himself the Truth. Look for the Church which is rejected by the world as Our Lord was rejected by men. Look for the Church which amid the confusions of conflicting opinions, its members love as they love Christ, and respect its Voice as the very voice of its Founder, and the suspicion will grow, that if the Church is unpopular with the spirit of the world, then it is unworldly, and if it is unworldly it is other worldly. since it is other-worldly, it is infinitely loved and infinitely hated as was Christ Himself. But only that which is Divine can be infinitely hated and infinitely loved. Therefore the Church is Divine." - Fulton J Sheen (1895-1979) that pretty much sums up many in today's world. they probably even start calling us who try to follow the Catholic church moral's etc as 'too extreme' when what's really happening is that they have drifted too far away from Jesus Christ's way of living and begin to hate it etc. or... basically once someones standards drifts too far away from Jesus Christ, His standards will look that much more extreme to them, which I imagine some on the left fit inline with this and basically inline with that quote above. p.s. Fulton J Sheen currently has Venerable status within the Catholic church which is stage 2 of 4 (i.e. 1)Servant of God, 2)Venerable, 3)Blessed, 4)Saint)... solanuscasey.org/about-us/the-cause-for-sainthood/learn-more-about-the-steps-to-sainthood

It's pretty simple... Islam is evil, Christianity is good. If by “simple minded” for simpletons, then I agree. Neither concept is inherently good or evil. People (of either religion) are good or evil. Religion is just a brainwashed mindset used to justify someone’s evil, or validate someone’s goodness. At the end of the day, they are based on the same type of nonsensical, unscientific, superstitious traditions that require circular reasoning. When they cover up pedophilia, and protect child molesters, it’s difficult for them to be taken seriously as a moral authority of any kind, much less be interested in what they have to say on such matters. Islam is the most hated religion in the world right now. Looks like you picked the wrong religion!
