personal: [non books]: abe Lincoln. that dude was awesome.
quazi… more of a children's book: phoebe the spy. if it weren't for her and her father sam fraunces [yup that fraunces tavern dude] America would so not be the country it is today.

River of Doubt, a harrowing adventure story about Theodore Roosevelt and his son trying to survive their 1913-1914 expedition to the Amazon. It'd be a great movie like LOST CITY OF Z if anybody was interested in adapting it.

Robert Coro's multi volume bio of LBJ was good. Readable but lengthy. Edmund Morris' multi volume about Theodore Roosevelt, Ditto Nigel Hamilton's ones about FDR. Another multivolume.
