when i was a child
integrity
meant something
entirely
different then
what
it means
today.
so
i learned
that
having the wherewithal to afford
the best legal advice
was
far more important
than who
actually stole the slice.
because nothing says
piddling
while rome burns
quite like
watching monsters
pretending
to
play nice.
