I knew Boudreau started the "Williams Shift". Also read that Teddy could have hit to the opposite field any time he wanted to but he was too stubborn. Have to wonder how many hits it cost Ted.

finally read ted's book this summer on hitting---highly rec. better than most novels written these days in terms of a unique voice!
