Seemed like a good idea until someone lost most of the skin on their legs by sliding into 2nd ?
Iβve always wondered why in modern cricket players donβt wear shorts. Unlike baseball, very little sliding, and definitely no large portions of the field covered in crushed brick......

I would occasionally wear shorts in softball but you always end up getting scraped either sliding or making a diving catch or something so it's 100% of the time baseball pants now.
