I don't read those kinds of magazines. That said, who cares? That's a magazine geared towards women, not for guys to fap to.

Tess Holiday wants haters to kiss her ass?
Which part of it and for how long?!
Let me see, do I have any scuba gear?
In all seriousness, who cares? More power to her! If she's happy then I'm happy!

Not particularly. Anything that lessens the amount of airbrushed stick figures on magazine covers that give women an inferiority complex and eating disorders, the better.

So you would rather pretend obesity is normal and we should encourage it? I guess being grossly overweight isn't connected to an alarming number of health problems that lead to preventable death every day.....oh wait.

I dont have a problem with a morbidly obese woman on a cover of a beauty/lifestyle magazine. I have a “problem” with a morbidly obese people claiming they are perfectly healthy.
I struggle to believe they are “happy as they are” simply because this size cannot be comfortable to live and move around in, but I can imagine a world or rather someones reality where being this big is still ok easthetically.
I reject the world where being This Big is presented as still healthy.
Same would go toward extremelly thin people.
love yourself. Please do. And when u really do Maybe u will respect your health more.
Now I am not saying big chicks should be covered head to toe or not shown in magazines. i personally enjoy looking at Ashley Graham and alikes.
And if the lady that is this big says “I know this is unhealthy and I am trying to get healthier and in the meantime I still want to like myself” I think thats fine and happy to support her and her cause.
But please dont say “my doctor says I am healthy and this is ok”. I dont care for her health per se I dont know her. i am concerned for other people and kids and society geering toward accepting the lie that this is still healthy.
BMI over 40 and fat percentage over 35% and healthy?Tell that to your heart, joints and veins. No. No. No. This is not healthy. May be sexy may be pretty to some no problem there. But not healthy. Havent read what she says inside though. If this is about promoting body positivity in its true sense (like and respect your body, meaning also trying to keep it functional and not care about the outside pressures to look perfect) then thats great, i am all for diversity and confidence. Just dont mix denial of “unhealthiness” into it pls..

And if the lady that is this big says “I know this is unhealthy and I am trying to get healthier and in the meantime I still want to like myself” I think thats fine and happy to support her and her cause. One in 3 obese people remains healthy. They display normal blood glucose, blood lipids, blood pressure, and a healthy cytokine profile.
Sumo wrestlers for example are obese but not unhealthy. Yeah I am not trying to equate sumo wrestlers who are on ideal diets with ordinary obese. But even among ordinary obese people 1 of every 3 are metabolically healthy.
While I personally appreciate your concern but it is not entirely a lie that such people can be still healthy. They can be if they maintain strict discipline and fat that they accumulate is of less visceral type. One can also give thought to healthy obese people who love themselves.

I have no problem with the pic. Yes, I may have problem with people convincing that fat is beautiful. Beauty is subjective. I don't mind if anyone considers fat people beautiful. I am not sure I find many fat people beautiful.

oh come on :-)))) yes obese and healthy is possible, sure. but htere is obese and morbidly obese. also blood glucose is not the only marker of health. please tell me again how someone with a bmi over 40 has a healtht heart and joins... and managing visceral fat... look i am not saying every fat person is u healthy. but i would bet a great deal of money to say every morbidly obese person jas health risks associated with the morbid obesity that they wouldnt have otherwise. why pretend othrwise?

I guess Sumo wrestlers are morbidly obese? If you read the whole thing it says some of these people may become unhealthy if they lose weight. While some things may be unbelievable to us it may be possible. I had first researched about these people about 3 months back when one of my obese friend (Huge) said he just got a check up of blood and urine and everything came fine except low levels of Vitamin D. That said I am not an expert in this field so I am not 100% sure of these things.

Tess Holliday promotes obesity, which is irresponsible, so yes I have a problem with it.
