Getting McCutchen is getting worry about the status of Judge's injury. Is McCutchen good anymore? Well, at least he can not be worse than the brutal Shane Robinson who replaced Aaron Judge.

McCutchen is certainly decent and putting him that minor league sized park should definitely help. I see this as more of an insurance move on the Yankees part than anything. Judge has taken longer than expected to come back and with a wrist injury, you can't be certain than Judge will be 100% when he finally does return. Good to have a quality contingency plan if that happens.

I don’t know anything about the players SF received in return but this is probably a win for both sides. SF sheds a contract, the Yankees get a veteran who still has something left in the tank.

Knowing how Yankees trades go, I expect the players going to SF are a couple of worthless scrubs.
